Chapter 66 Strike
Chapter 66 Strike
Nira’s POV:
The moment the ball left my hand, it shot straight down the lane, fast and clean.
A sharp crash echoed as all ten pins went down at once.
For a brief second, everything went quiet before the reactions started.

Elise’s smile froze instantly. Her eyes widened as she stared at the lane. “Wait… what? That’s not possible!”
Janice’s face turned pale, her body stiff with disbelief.
Tessa jumped up and hugged me tightly. “Nira, that was insane! You’re amazing!”
I simply brushed my hands together and looked at Elise. “Your turn.”
A flicker of panic crossed her face, but she forced herself forward anyway.
She threw the ball hard, but it veered off badly, knocking down only a couple of pins.
Janice’s expression grew even worse.
I walked up to her and crossed my arms. “Your turn, Janice.”
She bit her lip and glared at me, but didn’t move.
Aven immediately stepped in front of her, his expression guarded. “Come on, it’s just a game,” he said. “We’re all here to have fun. No need to take it this seriously. Nira, you’ve already made your point.”
I let out a quiet, mocking laugh. “That’s funny. When Elise and Janice challenged me knowing I’d never played before, you didn’t seem to care about keeping things ‘fun.”
I held his gaze. “Now that you’re losing, suddenly it’s just a joke?”
Aven’s expression stiffened, and he looked away.
Janice grabbed his arm, and after a brief hesitation, he tried again. “Nira, you’re scaring her. She’s not in the right state to keep playing. Let’s just drop it.”
He and Elise tried to pull her away.

I stepped forward and blocked their path, grabbing Janice’s arm at the same time. “We’re not done. No one’s leaving.”
Elise glanced at Kade, but when he didn’t say a word, she straightened, her confidence returning. “We’re leaving anyway,” she said with a smirk. “What are you going to do about it?”
I let go of Janice and gave her a cold smile. “Go ahead. The second you walk out, I’ll post the video on the school forum.”
Elise frowned. “What video?”
“This one,” Tessa said as she walked over, holding up her phone with a grin. “I’ve been recording since the moment you challenged Nira.”
Elise’s expression snapped. She bared her teeth and lunged for the phone.
But Tessa was faster, darting back behind Zane before Elise could reach her.
Elise stopped, furious, glaring at both of us.
Janice tugged at Aven’s sleeve and said softly, “Aven…”
He looked toward Kade. “Mr. Howell…”
Kade didn’t say anything. He just looked at him.
That single glance was enough.
Aven flinched and took a step back before reluctantly pulling Janice forward. “Finish the
game.
Janice stared at him in disbelief for a moment before quickly composing herself. “Okay,” she said quietly.
Aven shot me a sharp look, clearly blaming me for everything.
I didn’t react.
Janice grabbed a bowling ball, clearly trying to pull herself together as the match resumed
between us.
