Chapter 45 Blessing of the Gods
Chapter 45 Blessing of the Gods
For PK players to clear their PK Points, they had to grind.
Usually, killing 100 regular monsters would wipe out a single PK Point. Killing 100 elite monsters? That would wipe out ten PK Points.
Bosses were better. One Black Iron–level boss could also remove ten PK Points … but you had to solo it.
And it couldn’t be lower–level than you.
In Twilight of the Gods, killing monsters below your level gave no rewards–so it definitely wouldn’t reduce PK Points either.
One. Freaking. Million.
Even with his strength, clearing that many? It was gonna take forever. Brutal, too.
And he couldn’t die.
Not even once.
If he did, all his stuff–except gear that “cannot drop“-would hit the ground. All of it.
Gone. Like, die–once–and–you’re–broke–and–naked gone.
The real problem: How was he supposed to leave Rookie Village?
Losing most gear didn’t bother him much.
Even his Gold–level Ninefold Longbow–if it dropped, Alden wouldn’t lose sleep over it.
But the Bloodthirst Necklace?
That was different. It was a straight–up God level equipment for him.
If it dropped, he had no idea when–or if–he’d ever get another one even close to it.
So… should I grind my PK Points here in Rookie Village before leaving?
The thing is, with a million PK Points, even if I farmed dungeons until I got sick of it, it still wouldn’t be enough to clear them all.

In the end, Alden’s eyes locked on the Gods.
Whether I can turn my fate around–it’s all riding on the Blessing of the Gods now.
In Twilight of the Gods, the Gods could actually break the game’s rules.
“Use the Blessing of the Gods.”
Alden activated it, every inch of him buzzing with hope.
Ding! “You have been blessed by the Gods…
“Due to your extremely high PK Points, the blessing has changed.”
Ding! “You have been blessed by the Earth Goddess…”
A dark red beam of light slammed down from the sky, wrapping Alden in its glow.
Ding! “You have gained the Cycle of Death.”
Alden’s eyes lit up. He instantly pulled up its details.
Cycle of Death: 1 Star
Effect: Your basic attack has a 0.5% chance to instantly kill the enemy.
Cooldown: None
Consumption: None
Proficiency: 0/1000 (Gain proficiency by killing monsters, NPCs, or adventurers that aren’t lower–level than you. One kill = +1 proficiency.)
Alden’s lips twitched.
Yup. Definitely worthy of being a blessing from the Earth Goddess.
Just one star. Just one effect. Looks simple enough.
But this one effect? Extremely powerful.
Sure, 0.5% doesn’t sound like much.
But what if I level it up?

At higher star ranks, this could get wild.
Especially later, facing world bosses… Can I just one–shot them?
The thought alone hyped him up a bit.
Shaking himself back into focus, Alden started looting bodies.
Sixteen bosses were waiting for him to pick clean.
Especially Village Keeper–the ultimate Rookie Village boss.
Who knew what kind of loot that monster might drop?
Gear. Skills. Gold. Materials of every kind …
Alden frowned.
Aside from skills–which he could use to level up Withered Tree Reborn–everything else was basically useless.
Simple reason: With his PK Points, the moment he left Rookie Village, all of it would drop
anyway.
Finally, Alden’s eyes landed on something he could actually use.
A Guild Creation Order!
Now that was huge.
Early game, a Guild Creation Order was worth even more than a Heart of the Lord.
“Use Guild Creation Order.”
He didn’t hesitate and activated it instantly.
If he didn’t and died, it would just drop on the ground.
After death, he’d respawn in the main city, and there was no way he could come back and grab
“Please name your guild.”
“Snowbound Guild.”

He used the name from the guild he’d founded in his

Ding! “You are the first player to create a guild. We will make a server–wide announcement. Would you like to hide your nickname?”
“No.”
“Server–wide Announcement: Congratulations to player Frost King for being the first to create a guild! Reward: +1 special guild item. This announcement is made with the hope that all players will continue to strive forward.”
“Server–wide Announcement: Congratulations to player Frost King for being the first to create a guild! Reward: +1 special guild item. This announcement is made with the hope that all players will continue to strive forward.”
Creating a guild was way more valuable than a first–boss kill.
A lot of people had been talking about Rookie Village being destroyed–but now? Alden’s guild–creation announcement stole the spotlight.
“Holy crap, Frost King? That guy’s been silent forever–now he’s back?”
“What’s the point of creating a guild? Any pros here wanna explain?”
“The Twilight of the Gods guide says you get special buffs–guild members get +1% XP, +1% damage, +1% movement speed…”
“Only 1%? That’s tiny.”
“That’s a one–star guild bonus. Higher guild levels mean better boost.”
Everyone in Twilight of the Gods was talking.
In a level–15 dungeon, Dream Snow frowned at the announcement.
“You’ve been holding back on leveling just for this Guild Creation Order?”
She’d been wondering why Alden’s level hadn’t gone up. Now it made sense. “He gave up leveling–probably running story quests–just to get this.

“But without a big guild backing you What’s the point of starting one in the game?”
It wasn’t just Dream Snow, but other guilds were talking too.
