Game Over Not Over for Me novel Chapter 46

Chapter 46 Someone Who Shouldn’t Be Here!

Leveling up a guild all came down to Achievement Points.

Once the points maxed out, the guild would level up automatically.

But here’s the thing: Guild Achievement Points were rare. You only got them if your guild did something big, something the whole server noticed.

For example, a guild member awakening a rare talent or unlocking a hidden class.

Or being the first to clear a dungeon, or the first to kill a boss.

All that could rack up Achievement Points.

Later on, powerful guilds raked in rewards left and right thanks to it.

It was only now that Alden noticed messages from Skyspire Shield.

At first, the guy sounded worried, even concerned. Then he started asking if Alden needed help.

In his last life, Skyspire Shield had died too early, so Alden never really got to know him. But the fact that he still cared, even after Alden had lost multiple levels, said something about the guy’s loyalty.

Right then, a voice call popped up.

Not from Skyspire Shield, but another friend.

“Frost King, our captain wants to know if you’re willing to hand over your guild. We’re offering 100 million.”

Alden raised an eyebrow.

That’s a generous offer, 100 million. And from Shadowrend, no less.

Normally, he might have considered it.

But now? No way.

He wanted control.

Being strong alone wasn’t enough.

He needed a squad-no, an army-of elite players, and perks that could attract other top-tier players.

The guild was the key to all of it.

What if-just imagine-he could boost guild stats until damage, critical hits, XP gain, movement speed, attack speed … all went up by 100%?

Players would fight tooth and nail to join.

“Sorry,” he said. “Not selling the guild.”

“We can negotiate,” Shadowrend replied quickly.

“It’s not about the price … ” Alden paused. “I don’t need money. If you have special equipment, I might think about it.”

Shadowrend went silent. “Hold on, let me check.”

Special equipment was no joke.

His Purifying Pendant was proof-it had been crucial when he took down the Village Keeper.

“Frost King, we don’t have any special gear right now. Can we maybe just talk numbers again?”

“No.” Alden’s answer was blunt.

The faster he built up his guild, the faster it could level up.

He could fall behind in his own level-that didn’t matter. Attributes could make up for it.

But a guild’s level? That couldn’t fall behind. That was everything.

He hung up.

Another call came-this time from Skyspire Shield.

“Frost King! You okay?!” the guy blurted out.

“I’m fine. Thanks for asking,” Alden replied.

Skyspire Shield hesitated, then said, “Uh… my dad just asked me to see if you’d sell the guild. Price’s negotiable.”

“Nope.”

“Got it,” Skyspire Shield said without pressing further. “Well, when you get to the main city, remember to take me with you. I can pay.”

“Alright.”

Alden hung up and turned his attention to the second quest.

“In ancient times, the king’s son died and became Drymora. He fought for the king against Chaos Bringer but was sealed beneath Rookie Village.

“Quest requirement: Release the king’s son from the seal.

“Quest penalty: All fire-attribute attacks will deal double damage to you.

“Quest reward: Unknown.”

From the first Quest Scroll, he’d guessed right-completing it had given him Blessing of the Gods.

The third Quest Scroll, the one he had predicted to be about killing Drymora?

That one hadn’t shown up.

Still, this quest didn’t seem too hard.

He already had the Icenfire Ore. All he had to do was use it to break the seal under the cliff.

When he finally reached the cliff, though, Alden ran into a problem: He had no idea how to get down.

Players who had jumped before had all died.

And with the Rookie Village revival altar destroyed, if he died now, he’d respawn in the main city and couldn’t come back.

He paced the edge twice, looking for a way.

“Maybe this will do something!”

He fired a feathered arrow into the fog below.

Nothing.

Then he made a Molotov and tossed it down. The firelight shrank, smaller and smaller, before vanishing completely.

Alden felt a headache coming on.

Yeah, from that height? If I jumped, I’d be toast.

“There’s got to be some hidden trick I haven’t found yet.”

Alden stopped for a second, then kept pacing around.

If I had known, I should’ve gotten the old drunk to explain the path properly back then.

He started testing shots with his feathered arrows, sure there had to be something he was missing.

Suddenly, Alden noticed a steel wire in the fog along the cliff!

If it weren’t for his Eye of Purity, he still wouldn’t have seen it clearly.

“So that’s it…”

He leapt, landing on the first wire. Then the second. Then the third …

Anyone else would have fallen, but not Alden.

Half an hour later, he reached the bottom.

Down here, he found a massive Dual Pisces Array carved into the ground.

Two millstones-one black, one white-sat at its center, each with a hole in it.

One hole was the exact shape of the Icenfire Ore.

The other… he had the match for that too: the mysterious key he’d looted from the furious Yellow-Furred Weasel.

Back then, he’d wondered what it was for. Now he knew.

But just as he stepped forward to break the seal, a voice rang out.

“Who’s there?”

Alden’s eyes snapped toward the far end of the gorge.

Through the thick mist, a figure was walking toward him, steady and unhurried. His steps were solid. His build was strong.

The fog and distance kept Alden from seeing his face at first.

But as the man got closer, Alden finally saw his face.

He froze, and his expression twisted in disbelief.

Shock hit so hard his body actually stumbled back two steps.

“What the … No way!!

“It’s you?!”

He couldn’t believe his eyes. NPCs in Rookie Village didn’t revive. Once they were dead, they were gone for good.

“Y-you were dead! I saw it!”

The man’s lips curled into a mocking smile. His voice was calm, almost lazy.

“Who told you I died? The one you killed was my brother. This plan has been in the works for a long time. We had to sacrifice him to make it happen.”

His gaze lifted toward the sky, voice turning almost gentle. “Roland, your death was worth it. Our plan is about to succeed.”

“Roland was your brother? Who the hell are you? There’s no one like you in Rookie Village!”
