“What are you shouting for?” Natasha appeared with a smile plastered on her lips as she handed me chocolate, but I didn’t accept it.
“You lied to me! You said that you would help me control the curse in me, and I even asked you if I’d fall asleep, but you said you were there and to leave it to you, which is why I trusted you!” I exclaimed while Lucien gently patted my back as I still sat on his lap.
But Natasha ignored my anger. Instead, she pointed to the chair. “There’s a chair there for you to sit.”
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. “So what? He’s my Alpha anyway. It’s not like we’re doing anything wrong.
聘
“Yeah, but it hurts my eyes.”
“Who cares?! Now tell me, why did you lie and make me sleep for a whole week?” I asked coldly, sneering at her.
She looked at me helplessly. “I wasn’t lying. I did manage to help you with your curse so it wouldn’t appear when your emotions were too high. However, I didn’t expect you to fall asleep for a week.”
I paused, looking at her face to see if she was lying.
I clicked my tongue. “I’ll believe you for now.”
Natasha chuckled, then her face turned disdainful. “By the way, you two should control yourselves and not do anything funny while you’re in my room. Otherwise, I’ll bomb you both.”
Heat climbed up my face. “What are you talking about?! We wouldn’t do that!”
“Just to be sure. After all, you were apart after your sacred marriage.” She shrugged.
I glared at her. “And whose fault was that?! You could have picked a better day to kidnap me, not the day I was to celebrate with my Alpha!”
“My bad.” She chuckled and made excuses for herself. “You can’t blame me for that. I didn’t know him well and who knew if he would hurt you like that bastard from Crescent Moon did. That’s why I did it.”
I sneered. “And? What do you think of him now?” I asked, holding Lucien’s cheeks as he listened and hugged me tightly, not intending to let go.
“Just so-so.”
I rolled my eyes. “Anyway, we’ll be going back to our pack since they’re probably worried we’ve been missing for weeks.”
“Stay here for a month.”

“No, that’s too long. If you want to see us again, just visit the pack but don’t do what you did to me-like kidnapping.” I said calmly, taking a deep sigh.
After all, we can’t stay here any longer. I could already imagine their panic, knowing they’d been searching for us for weeks, worrying about what might have happened. If we disappear for a month, who knows-they might announce that we’re dead.
I watched as Natasha sat on the chair and closed her eyes. “I want the sacred marriage to be performed again
I paused and looked at Lucien, then at her. “What do you mean?”
“I want the Dark Moon to witness it as well.” This time, her voice was calm and serious.
I was about to retort, but Lucien gently held my hands, squeezing them lightly, offering a smile that answered for both of us.
“Yes, we can do it again.”
Natasha opened her eyes and nodded, looking satisfied. “You should prepare your dowry for my
granddaughter. She’s the next queen, you know.”
Lucien chuckled and nodded. “Yes, grandmother. I will.”
I frowned. “What are you talking about?”
Natasha just looked at me and shook her head. “Nothing much. Anyway, do you have any plans to become the queen of the Dark Moon? I’ll teach you everything I know.”
I paused and shook my head. “No. Besides, you’re still here to manage the Dark Moon.”
“What if I die?”
I froze, then shook my head. “Then don’t die. Otherwise, this territory and the Dark Moon Pack would disband.”
“You heartless thing,” she complained. “I’ll reach out to you in the future to be the next queen.”
In the end, I nodded. “Fine, then. Just so you know, I’m currently managing both the Crescent Moon and Nightshade Pack. I’ll have no problem managing more in the future.”
She chuckled. “As expected of my granddaughter.”
“Now back to the main point. We’ll get going now, so you have to lift the miasma first if you don’t want your granddaughter and her grandchild to die from the toxins.” I said calmly as I stood, Lucien doing the same but without letting go of my hand.
Natasha waved her hand. “It’s been lifted, now go. I’ll visit you at your pack next time.”
I nodded and thanked her for her care.
Natasha looked at Lucien, her expression grave. “You better be true to your words, Lucien.”

Lucien nodded firmly. “I swear.”
She just clicked her tongue and waved us away. “Now go.”
I looked at Lucien, curious. “What did she mean by that?”

Lucien just chuckled and pinched my cheek. “It’s nothing much, just to reassure her. Now, let’s go home.”
I didn’t think too deeply and intertwined our hands. “Yeah, let’s go back.”
Before we could reach the gates, the people of Dark Moon came to see us off.
“Visit again next time, Scarlett!”
“Scarlett, our Queen will surely miss you!”
“You better come back, otherwise the Queen will use us as her entertainment when she’s bored!”
“You have a fine Alpha, Scarlett!”
“We wish you two everlasting love! Lucien, take good care of her!”
“Don’t forget to send us an invitation if you have another wedding!”
The corners of my lips lifted as I waved at them, answering their questions patiently, but Natasha appeared and shooed them away. They booed her first before dispersing.
Natasha looked at me. “I’ll have the carriage prepared for you.”
I was about to nod when Lucien suddenly shifted to his enormous wolf form, then crouched for me to climb.
Natasha paused and chuckled. “Seems there’s no need for the carriage. You didn’t even use your wolf form when I told you to walk ahead and find this place.”
Lucien’s silver eyes looked at her and he answered deeply, “You didn’t want that. You wanted me to prove myself without my wolf.”
Natasha laughed and didn’t say more.
“Take care, Scarlett!”
I chuckled and nodded. “You too, take care. Also, don’t sleep too much or you might miss your grandchild’s growth.”
Agnes appeared beside Natasha and waved. “Don’t worry, your grandmother is preparing medicine to fight the curse. Just message us if you two decide on a second wedding date!”
I waved and nodded as I sat on Lucien’s wolf back. “Yeah, we will! Come visit us if you have time!”
Lucien looked at them. “We’re going now.”

I watched as their figures grew smaller and Lucien ran as fast as he could so we wouldn’t take weeks to arrive.
“Are you comfortable there?” he asked while running, making sure he was steady so I wouldn’t fall.
I smiled and patted his soft white fur. “Yeah, I’m good.”
“Take a nap if you want. I’ll wake you up when we get there,” he said, and I didn’t manage to respond before my eyelids felt heavy and I fell asleep.
By the time I woke up, I found myself cornered by Kathleen, who burst into tears at seeing us.
“Where did you two go?! We’ve been looking for you for weeks and I thought…”
I hurriedly got off Lucien’s back-though Lucien shifted back to his human form and caught me in his arms before gently placing me on the ground-and I quickly hugged Kathleen, who was crying like a child.
“I’m sorry, we’re back now.”
“Where did you two go?” Kathleen complained.
1 helplessly told her the events, and she sighed in relief after knowing we were safe. “That’s good to know that they’re not enemies. Otherwise, there would’ve been trouble.”
I chuckled. “So what’s happened these past weeks?”
Kathleen shook her head. “Nothing much, just spent our time searching for you, but it was no use. No foolish pack dared to harass us either.”
I nodded and hugged her again. “Thank you for your hard work.”
She pinched my cheek. “It’s nothing. Just don’t scare us next time.”
Then, she looked at Lucien and glared. “You didn’t even leave a message you were looking for Scarlett! I was worried, you know!”
Lucien patted her head. “I did leave a message.”
Kathleen scoffed. “You said you’d be back, but weeks had already passed!”
“I can’t control that.”
She rolled her eyes. “There should be a second sacred mating bond! I didn’t even get to eat wedding cake our of worry!”
Lucien and I both laughed and nodded. “There will be. The Dark Moon will attend as well.”
She shivered and patted her arms. That’s scary.”
“They’re not. You’ll get along if you get to know them,” I said, chuckling.
“I doubt it.

“Will he be back?” I asked, watching her expression.
