He opened the door on purpose, acting calm. Inside, though, he was a nervous wreck.

Tyler kept a cool face, but he subtly adjusted his posture. He wanted to look his best for Caroline.

Especially under the dim light. The base had lost power, but Tyler had his lamp on. In that dim light, he saw Caroline’s face, and it looked a little bit red.

“And Nelson saw Shane disappear with his own eyes,” Caroline said. “Before he vanished, Shane seemed like a different person. He clearly mentioned sandstorms and cyan energy.”

She shared everything she learned from Nelson with Tyler.
