On the other side, Caroline was walking through the sandstorm together with Kay and the others.
Just moments ago, the number of tornadoes attacking the base had increased from six to eight.

The entire base was shaking violently.
Tyler and the engineering team worked fast to fix things, but some places were impossible to reach.

In the end, Nathaniel waved his hand and ordered everyone to gather at the westernmost side of the base. This area was also the strongest part of the base, the very foundation holding everything together.
As for the other areas of the base, they would spread outward with the west side as the center. Whatever could be saved would be saved. Anything that couldn’t be protected would have to be abandoned for now.
Caroline, Kay, and Francis decided to leave the base. They wanted to find the mutant animal and the source of all this sand.
Before leaving, Caroline worried that the base might be completely destroyed, so she put Nelson into her space.
This sudden sandstorm and the rapidly intensifying tornadoes had completely disrupted their plans.
Originally, Caroline had planned to soak in the spirit spring water and upgrade her abilities before leaving the base, but now she was being forced into action.
Just moments ago, Caroline felt the space shake violently again. This time, the shaking was stronger than before and lasted longer!
The vibrations were sometimes heavy and sometimes low. It felt like her space was fighting against something.
Caroline was riding Raven through the wind. When the space shook, she almost fell off.
It felt like her brain was being shaken out of her head. She almost passed out for a second.
Luckily, she steadied herself.
As she looked at the blowing sand, her eyes grew dark.
Suddenly, she stopped breathing.
Inside one of the tornadoes, she saw a person.
He was being carried high into the air by the wind.
Because her eyesight had been improved by the spring water, she could see exactly who was in the tornado.
“Shane?”
Caroline was shocked.
If one had to describe Shane, he was truly in miserable shape.
He had just been beaten up badly, but he was still acting pretty calm.

Chapter 645 Inside the Storm

As a mental patient, his consciousness often felt like it had been shattered and pieced back together. So for most things, he couldn’t remember clearly and he didn’t really care.
But once he’s fixated on something, he was even more stubborn than ordinary people.
He wanted to go back to find Nelson. He wanted to eat small cakes. This was his obsession.
Basically, his mind held only these things and nothing else.
So after returning to the desert, he completely lost control.
He had already forgotten that the man said he was only sending him away for three days.
The moment he returned and saw that man’s face, he thought only one thing. This man could send him back. This man brought him here. This man was keeping him trapped and not letting him leave. He had to kill this man. Only by killing him could he be free.
He couldn’t remember how many days this fight had lasted. He had no memory of how much his body had changed, as if he had no sense of pain at all.
Yet the man in front of him barely moved at all. He remained on that rock, looking down on him like a god watching mortals! This made Shane more and more frustrated, the angrier he thought about it. He even wanted to rush forward, drag that man down, and twist his head off!
The man had said something about three months and something about bringing Nelson and some other things back, or else he would destroy everything?
Before Shane could figure it out, his vision blurred. His whole body felt weightless. When his surroundings became clear again, he realized he had returned to that strange building.
Shane’s already simple, instinct–driven mind now held only one thought–He was back!
He remembered he broke a window to get in last time, so he wanted to jump through a window again.
But as soon as he moved, he was swept away by a gust of wind.
Shane felt like he had been thrown into a giant blender. It felt like his skin and bones were being torn apart!
He tried to look around, but he couldn’t even open
his
eyes.
Then he saw stones, plastic bags, dead rats, and empty cans flash past him.
Something hit him. He looked down and saw a huge piece of wood, but this wood was strange. When he looked at it, the wood lifted its head. The branches even wrapped around his leg!
It was a mutant plant.
If anyone in the world knew what was inside a tornado, it was Shane.
In the middle of the storm, everything looked blurry. Even he looked like a blurry mess as he
spun
around.
