Chapter 491 You Have No Sense of Honor
In the bathroom, Sebastian stood next to the bathtub, which was overflowing with bubbles.
He glanced down.
Lucas, with a yellow rubber duck perched on his head, puffed out his cheeks like a little pufferfish and glared up at Sebastian. To show just how annoyed he was, he squeezed the rubber duck with his tiny hands.
“From now on, you need to start sleeping on your own,” Sebastian said, his eyes cold and his brow set in a frosty line.
Lucas squeezed the duck again, stubbornly.
“No way!” Lucas protested.
“Stella likes independent kids,” Sebastian said, lying through his teeth without batting an eye.
Lucas tilted his head.
“What’s independent”?” he asked in his soft, babyish voice.
Lucas put the rubber duck back on his head and looked up at Sebastian, wide-eyed.
Sebastian said, “Sleep by yourself.”
Lucas blinked his big eyes at Sebastian.
Lucas was still a little skeptical.
He slowly slid down into the mountain of bubbles, leaving just his eyes peeking out.
The pool bubbled and gurgled.
By the time Sebastian and Lucas came out of the bathroom, the fondue was already ready. As soon as Sebastian showed up, Emily and Blake practically jumped aside, clearing the spot next to Stella.
Blake even threw in a bootlicking “please, go ahead” gesture for good measure.
But before Sebastian could make a move, Lucas zipped over and planted himself right next to Stella, snagging the seat before anyone else could react.
Sebastian didn’t say a word.
Allan was watching him with a look that was pure schadenfreude. Sebastian turned his head and caught that smug expression on Allan’s face.
As their eyes met, nobody noticed that the plain plant, left out to soak up some moonlight, suddenly shivered for no reason.
The plain plant tilted its pot, puzzled.
It peered into the shadows.
‘Did I just see a ghost?’ the plain plant wondered.
‘Not sure. Better check again, the plain plant thought, just to be sure.
After the feast, everyone was stuffed to the brim, their bellies round and happy.
After dinner, Stella was snuggled up in a lounge chair, eyes closed, drifting between sleep and wakefulness.
Her long lashes cast soft shadows on her porcelain face, while Lucas, yawning and clinging to her like a sleepy little kitten, nestled in her arms.
Emily was about to fetch a blanket for them, but when she spotted Sebastian heading over with one, she made herself scarce, yanking Blake away before he could embarrass himself.
Under the tree, Sebastian bent down and carefully tucked the blanket around Stella and Lucas.
“Going out?” Stella asked lazily, not even bothering to open her eyes.
Sebastian replied, “Yeah, I’ll be back later.”

Stella just mumbled, “Oh,” sounding completely chill about it.
“Oh?” Sebastian drawled, repeating the word slowly.
Stella just ignored it.
She let out a sigh and opened her eyes. “Sebastian, we’re heading back to Sandridge Island in a few days.” After a pause, she added softly, “I just want to go home.”
She missed Snowball.
‘And Simba, too, Stella thought, embarrassed.
‘Alright…’ Stella thought, a little reluctantly, ‘And Scrappy, too.’
‘…Oh well,’ Stella thought to herself.
‘I miss them all, Stella admitted to herself.
Sebastian gazed at her for a long moment, then lifted her hand to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to her fingers. “Okay.”
Night had fallen.
On the road, suddenly, John slammed on the brakes. Sebastian looked up from the back seat, his expression unreadable as he watched the geezer dart out in front of the car, hugging a bizarre skeleton sporting a pink afro wig.
The geezer groaned and yelped as he sprawled across the hood with a loud smack.
John called out, “Mr. Gray?”
The geezer groaned.
The skeleton’s teeth chattered, while the geezer, dressed in rags, still managed to reach back and scratch his
butt.
He was being all whiny and grumbling.
Inside Sebastian’s pocket, the stuffed peregrine falcon picked up on something and poked its fluffy little head
out.
The back window slid down.
Sebastian’s handsome face was shrouded in shadow. “Just hit him.”
The next second, there was a whoosh as the geezer swung open the back door and jumped in, fussing with the fluffy wig on his prized skeleton. “You young folks these days, no sense of honor at all!”
He wobbled his head dramatically.
“Drive,” Sebastian told John, not even sparing the geezer a glance.
“Aren’t you even curious who I am?” the geezer said, waving the skeleton’s bony hand at Sebastian. It was so dark, he could barely see Sebastian’s face.
Her voice dripped with sarcasm.
Sebastian said, “The Phantom Thief.”
The geezer just stared, lost for words.
He snapped upright in his seat.
“You know who I am?” the geezer squinted, giving Sebastian a wary, almost threatening look as he tried to make out his face in the darkness.
The car’s interior lights came on.
Sebastian’s handsome, stone-cold face was suddenly illuminated, right in front of the Geezer.
The geezer just stared, lost for words.
The geezer’s eyes went wide in shock.

‘Holy crap, that’s him!’ the geezer thought, his mind spinning. Sebastian looked at him, eyes cold and lashes lowered, his voice icy.” A few years ago, you tried to rob my apartment in Dorestan. Need me to remind you what happened after that?”
The light turned red.
With a whoosh, the geezer yanked the car door open, ready to make a run for it, but he was stopped short.
He twisted around, only to find Sebastian gripping the back of his collar with two cold fingers. Sebastian’s voice was icy. “Care to have a chat?”
Geezer just stared, lost for words.
‘This freaking defeat, my only loss ever as The Phantom Thief!’ Geezer cursed to himself.
‘All because of this punk!’ Geezer glared at Sebastian.
‘Damn, a hundred frog jumps!’ he muttered, remembering the punishment.
‘And a hundred push-ups!’ he grumbled, still bitter about it.
‘And a hundred pull-ups!’ Geezer grumbled, still salty about it.
‘If I didn’t finish, he’d crush my bones into bone powder!’ Geezer shuddered, remembering the threat.
‘Total nightmare!’ Geezer thought, his heart racing.
‘Worst nightmare ever!’ he cursed to himself, still traumatized.
The skeleton’s teeth rattled together, creepy enough to freak anyone out.
Inside the café, the whole place was reserved just for them.
Sebastian looked over at the group sitting across from him.
He’d known they’d been tailing him ever since he left the villa, but since these folks were important to Shark, he plastered on his trademark fake-friendly grin, though anyone with half a brain could tell it was anything but sincere.
Geezer just stared, lost for words.
ViperShade was at a loss for words.
Razorstrike just sat there, not saying a thing.
Serpentina blinked, speechless.
Professor Cipher didn’t say a word.
When Sebastian glanced over at Killer Whale, who was still sporting a split lip, his face immediately snapped back to its usual cold look.
Killer Whale just snorted.
The five old geezers all let out a breath of relief. Sebastian’s smile just now had been so suspicious. They almost thought he’d poisoned their coffee.
An awkward silence filled the room.
Seeing them all go quiet, Sebastian just stared back, then, with a blank face, nudged his coffee cup toward them. “Drink it.”
John, standing a short distance away, cleared his throat awkwardly.
Sebastian paused for a second, then added, “Relax, I didn’t poison it.”
