They trusted their son and knew exactly what he was capable of. Hogan had never once given his parents a reason to worry about his career. He managed the company with a skill that even surpassed his father’s.
“Mom, I’ve got a mountain of work at the office today, but don’t worry, I’ll wrap it up as fast as I can and head straight over. Have you gotten in touch with Hogan? He’s been swamped lately, too. I feel like I haven't seen him in ages.”
Ever since Hogan and Hannah Austin had gotten back together, he’s been on cloud nine. Interestingly, it's actually made him even more focused at work. He was the first one in the office every morning and had recently taken on several massive projects that were apparently crucial for his career.
When he wasn't working, he poured all his energy into his relationship, spending a great deal of effort to make his girlfriend happy. Marguerite sometimes thought Hogan was the perfect boyfriend; he just knew how to be with a woman. In that respect, Leonard wasn’t quite the same, but their different personalities meant they had different ways of showing love. While she sometimes felt a pang of envy, she was more than happy with Leonard. He was good to her, steady and reliable.
“I haven't had a chance to tell him yet,” her mother replied cheerfully. “Of course, you're the first person I'd call with news like this. You know you'll always be the most important person to me!”
