The speedboat raced across the river for nearly an hour before finally docking at a private pier on the outskirts of the city.

An inconspicuous minivan was parked waiting by the shore.

"This will take us to the safehouse." Lucas helped Sienna off the boat. "It's extremely hidden. Cillian won't be able to track it down anytime soon."

Sienna nodded and followed him into the car.

The interior was warm, and a soft blanket lay ready on the seat.

Lucas picked it up and draped it gently over her shoulders. "Get some rest. I'll wake you when we get there."

Sienna pulled the blanket tight, finally feeling the crushing weight of exhaustion crash over her.

She leaned her head against the seat and closed her eyes.

Yet her mind kept replaying the harrowing escape.

If they had been just a second slower, if Lucas's plan had even a single flaw, she would probably be back in Cillian's clutches right now.

That man would never let her go.

"What's on your mind?"

Lucas's gentle voice broke through her thoughts.

Sienna opened her eyes to meet his worried gaze.

"I'm thinking that Cillian won't just let this go."

She told him the truth.

Lucas went quiet for a moment. "I know. That's why I made much more thorough preparations this time."

"What kind of preparations?"

"You'll see when we get there," Lucas replied cryptically.

The car drove for another half hour before pulling up to a villa completely concealed by a thick mountain forest.

Surrounded by woods on all sides, the location was so remote that unless someone had the exact coordinates, it was impossible to find.
