He glanced at the caller ID, his brow furrowing slightly.

"It's Cillian."

Sienna's heart skipped a beat.

Lucas answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Lucas." Cillian's voice came through the receiver, low and thrumming with suppressed rage. "You've got some nerve."

"Right back at you." Lucas's tone was completely steady. "You forcefully held her captive first; I just brought her home."

"Home?" Cillian let out a cold scoff. "Do you think hiding out in that rundown villa means I can't find you?"

Lucas's eyes darkened.

"Don't bother trying to scheme your way out of this." Cillian continued. "My men are already en route. In half an hour, I will personally come and collect Sienna."

"You're bluffing," Lucas said calmly. "If you actually knew the location, you wouldn't have bothered making this call."

Silence stretched over the line for a few seconds.

"Lucas, I suggest you get smart." Cillian's voice turned ice-cold. "Hand Sienna over, and I'll act like tonight never happened. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?" Lucas cut him off. "Are you really so naive to think that whatever underground muscle you have is enough to shake the Lowery family?"

"It might not shake the Lowerys, but taking you down? That's more than enough."

"Then try it." Lucas refused to yield an inch. "But let me make this perfectly clear—Sienna is never going back to you. She is a human being, not your property."

"Whether she's my property or not isn't up to you to decide." Cillian's voice was lethal. "Lucas, I'm giving you one last chance. Have her back to me by noon tomorrow. If not, you will face the consequences."

With that, he hung up.

The study lapsed into silence.
