I depart and walk the four blocks to the condominium. It is a sizable structure. I walk up to

the main entrance, step inside, and approach the front desk. An attractive blonde woman

looks up from behind the desk and smiles at me.

“Hello, how may I assist you?”

“I am interested in purchasing a condo in this building.”

“Oh, have you already been in contact with a real estate agent? The three available units we

have are listed through Horizon Homes. Here is one of their cards.”

She passes me a business card and I place it in my pocket.

“A friend of mine recommended this place to me, so I was eager to come and see it.”

“Oh, does your friend live here?”

“Yes, her name is Scarlett Joseph.”

“Oh, Scar. I adore her; her friend Natalie recently moved here with her. They are both wonderful. Would you like me to pass along a message for her?”

“She isn’t in right now?”
