Chapter 144 Words for Them
Scar’s POV

We eat, laugh, and talk openly about our men, the sex, and of course what we envision for our futures
with them. I’m genuinely surprised when I hear that Summer and Maisie see something long–term with
Daxter.
“I honestly picture us having something similar to what you have with Milo and Jace. He’s incredibly
gentle and kind. In bed, he handles both of us more than well. He also knows how to cook. We decide
we’re going to get a place together. Summer’s apartment is way too small for three people, and mine is even smaller than hers. I might be insanely wealthy, but I’m not flashy,” Maisie explains.
“Milo, Jace, and I are planning the same thing. We want to build a house of our own.”
“That’s actually an amazing idea. We should do that too,” Summer says.
“Hell yes, we should. Let’s talk to Daxter over the holiday and see how he feels about it.”
Once we pay the bill, we head to the new shop called “The Artisan’s Vault“. Apparently, they’re able to personalize absolutely anything and can even custom create items based on ideas you dream up
yourself.

“Oh my God, look at this. We can personalize our panties,” I say.
I choose ten lace thongs, already knowing I want to add “M & J” to the waistband in faux diamond lettering. Maisie and Summer immediately agree that it’s a great idea and each select their own sets as well. I wander through the store, completely amazed that they truly mean it when they say they can customize anything. I stop in front of a whiskey set that catches my eye. It includes a decanter surrounded by four glasses, all resting on a square wooden tray. A small card explains that the glasses, the decanter, and even the tray itself can be personalized with any message. This instantly feels like the perfect gift for both of them. I decide to have “M & J” etched onto the decanter. On the tray, I plan to add the words “Sip and Relax“. Then I start coming up with individual sayings for the bottoms of each glass. On one glass, I choose: “I love your face, especially when it’s between my legs. Love, Scar.” On another, I decide on: “Jace, thanks for all the orgasms. Keep that shit up. Love, Scar.” For the third glass, I pick: “Milo, you make me wet, just like this drink. Enjoy. Love, Scar.” On the final glass, I select: “I promise to be by your side, under you, on top of you, on my knees, and in front of you
wherever you need me. Love, Scar.” I speak with the sales clerk, and she confirms that they can absolutely do all of this. She explains that it will take a full day to complete, and I’ll be able to pick everything up after four the following day. That timing works out perfectly, since the next day is Christmas Eve. We’re planning to open presents on our makeshift bed on the floor of the fire station.
I continue wandering through the store, taking my time as I look around. I know Milo enjoys caring for his beard, so I search specifically with that in mind. I come across a beard grooming kit filled with oils

that smell incredible. I arrange to have his name customized on each item in the set. Jace has always loved cooking, and while browsing I discover a set of fantastic knives. I make sure his name is engraved directly onto the handles.
I also find a cigar box that includes a cigar cutter inside along with five cigars. I am told the flavors are exceptional. I have “Chief Zane” engraved across the lid of the box as well as on the cutter itself. The thought of him being gone makes my chest ache, because I know I am going to miss him deeply.
Once I finish shopping, I track down Maisie and Summer.
They tell me, “We had the panties customized for Daxter, and we also found this whiskey decanter shaped like a gun. It comes with four whiskey glasses, and each of us added a little saying to one of the glasses.”
I laugh and respond, “I did the exact same thing. This place is amazing. Alright, I need to head over and meet the guys at the bank before it closes. My dad, my mom, and Hale left something there for
us.”
Maisie smiles and says, “We’ll walk with you to meet them.”
O
I feel my face heat up, fully aware that they are doing this because of Brennan.
“You honestly don’t need to,” I say softly. “My dad has bodyguards positioned all around me. You just can’t see them because they’re incredibly discreet.”
Summer shakes her head and answers, “Scar, you’re one of our closest friends. We love you, and we’re walking you.”
I pull both of them into a hug. Having them in my life feels grounding and comforting in a way I didn’t realize I needed.
When we arrive at the bank, they hug Milo, Jace, and me before heading off. I hand them their gifts, and they pass mine to me in return. The package is wrapped in shimmering silver paper with a sparkly bow sitting on top. I feel a rush of excitement and can hardly wait to open it.
Jace looks at me and asks, “So what do you think your dad put in the safe deposit box?”
“I honestly have no idea,” I answer, smiling. “But I’m really excited to find out.”
We get assistance from a bank employee who retrieves the safe deposit box and leads us into a priv ate room where we can open it.
I reach into my purse, take out the key, and unlock the box. Inside, I see a thick bundle of documents and a small black velvet pouch.
I pick up the pouch first. When I open it, I gasp in shock. I pour the contents into my palm, and a small

slip of paper falls out along with five stunning round diamonds. The note explains that each diamond
is five carats and that they are to be used however we choose. The papers left in the box turn out to be
land deeds. One document is for five acres in Spain, and another grants ownership of fifteen acres in
Colorado.
Milo looks at me in disbelief and asks, “Scar, what is all of this?”
“These are Christmas gifts from my dad, my mom, and Hale,” I explain. “They gave us land and diamonds worth a small fortune. Not that either of you actually need it.”
Jace stares at me and says, “Are you saying your parents and Hale gave us land to build on? In both Spain and Colorado?”
“Yes,” I reply. “You both said you wanted to build a house. Well, now we officially have two places to
choose from.”
Both of them are speechless for a moment. Then suddenly Jace lets out a loud whoop, and Milo
breaks into a wide grin.
“Jace has always dreamed of homesteading,” Milo says. “Your family just turned that dream into
reality.”
My eyes fill with tears as I think about how incredible my parents and Hale are. They have given me
and the people I love so much happiness. For the first time in a long while, my life truly feels like it is
falling into place.
