Chapter 56
Jace lunged next.
Milo caught him in a bear hug before he could connect.
“I don’t want his hands on you,” Jace snapped. “He literally felt me up.”
I lost it–laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe.
When Jace finally unclenched, everyone else started laughing too.

After that, we got to work packing Jace’s things–clothes, shoes, the trophies and medals from the firehouse competitions. He had won Fireman of the Year last year, which I found offensively hot.
Then I found the calendars.
Four of them.
I flipped one open and there he was–July. Hay–colored firefighter pants, red suspenders, no shirt, holding a Dalmatian puppy in front of a fire truck. That smile could’ve started wars.
I stared so long I practically dro Chapter Unlocked, Enjoy Reading!
He was July in every single calendar.
Always with a Dalmatian.
Milo was in two out of the four. December in both.
In the first, he had his fire pants and jacket on, shirtless underneath, a red axe balanced across his shoulders with his arms draped over the handle near the blade. He had a Santa hat on and that cute- as–fuck smirk like he knew exactly what he was doing.
In the second, he looked completely naked–only a big rectangular present box held in front of him. His beard had been sprayed white, dotted with tiny red and green ornaments, and his eyes had that wicked little sparkle.
“Ah,” Jace said behind me. “So you found the calendars.”
“You two are ridiculously hot in these,” I told him, still flipping pages. “And I’m not sure I like other women having you plastered on their walls.”
“Tough, baby,” he said, amused. “Those calendars make serious money for the station fundraisers. We donate the proceeds to local homeless shelters.”

“Aww. “I sighed dramatically. “Fine. I’ll allow it.”
He laughed.

“Maybe we’ll put you in one this year,” Jace said, eyes bright with the idea. “They shoot in December.
Actually–about three weeks from now is the next one. I’ll talk to the chief. We’ll make even more money with you. Men will be losing their minds.”
I scoffed.
“You think I’m messing with you?” he said, leaning in. “Just watch. You’ll be the star, baby.”
I giggled because he was ridiculous, and because a tiny part of me loved the thought.
We finished up around dinner.
Lydia made roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus garlic asparagus.
“This is amazing,” I said, scraping my plate. “I swear I have to start working out again. I’ve been slacking since I moved here. I’ve gained, like, twenty pounds. I don’t even have abs anymore.”
“Girl, stop,” Joe said. “You look like a Victoria’s Secret model. Like one of the angel ones. Your body is
bangin.”
Lydia’s eyes lit with mischief. “She’s right, dear. And you should trust Joe–she knows all about
‘bangin‘ bodies. She’s banged so many.”
“MOTHER!” Joe shrieked.
Lydia laughed so hard she nearly slid off her chair.
“What? Am I wrong? You’re at the clubs every weekend playing, and during the week too–don’t tell me
you’re only there for paperwork.”
Jace grimaced. “Why are we talking about this? I don’t want to hear about my sisters‘ sex adventures.”
Lydia blinked at him. “Are you seriously telling me you don’t know?”
“No,” Jace said firmly. “First, in my head my twenty–five–year–old sisters are still sweet, innocent
virgins. Second, we always check which club they’re at before we go so we don’t run into them. I do
not need to accidentally see one of my sisters getting fucked by Everett over there–or by any of the other club regulars.”
“Same,” Junia and Joe said together.
Lydia nodded like that was fair. “Well. Smart, I guess.”

Joe’s attention snapped back to me. “Speaking of clubs–Scar, which ones have you tried?”
“Zero, Uno, Deux, and Drei,” I said.
Junia leaned forward. “So are you going to do the rest?”
“I really want to,” I admitted. “But Jace and Milo said from now on I’m not allowed unless they come with me.”
I glanced at Junia and added, “Which… I get. God forbid some random kidnaps me.” I winked.
She laughed.
“That’s right,” Jace said, deadly calm. “I’ll break a fucker’s arm. And then I’ll spank that ass until you can’t sit for a week.”
My body reacted instantly. I shifted in my chair.
I really, really like spankings.
Joe and Junia snickered.
I smirked.
Across the table, Jace and Milo were both watching me like they’d caught the movement, and they definitely had.
Junia tipped her head. “So Club Fyra is next? That’s four in Swedish. Or are you picking at random?”
“What’s the theme at Fyra?” I asked.
“Food play,” Everett answered.
I looked at Jace and Milo.
Both of them pulled faces like they’d swallowed something bitter.
Oh good.
“Yeah, no,” I said. “I’m not into that. I’m paranoid about food getting inside me. I’m not trying to land an
infection.”
Junia nodded quickly. “I’ve heard that can happen. It’s our least popular club, honestly, but it still makes money. There are more people into it than you’d think.”
“Okay,” I said. “What’s club five?”

“Club Tano,” Milo told me. “The furry club.”
I frowned. “The what?”
Joe jumped in. “People glue fur to themselves or wear animal costumes, and then they have wild sex.”
Junia grinned. “Joe likes it. She goes as a red fox.”
“It’s fun,” Joe said, unbothered. “And the fur is silky.”
“Ummm.” I tried to picture it and failed. “I think I’m going to pass on that too.”
Jace and Milo both exhaled like they’d been holding their breath.
Junia lifted a finger. “Club six is Sechs. The auction club.”
“Oh,” I said, sitting up. “I’ve heard of that one. My self–defense trainer told me about it–my class with
her is tomorrow, actually. That’s where she met her partner. She said he’s a mommy?”
Milo choked on his drink.
Jace’s eyes gleamed. “Is that something you want, baby? You want to be Daddy’s little girl?”
Everett stood abruptly. “And this is where I exit. Goodnight, my loves. Everett, want to come tuck me
in?”
“Don’t you fucking move,” Jace growled.
Everett only laughed. “Your mom’s hot, dude.”
Junia stared at him, horrified. “Please tell me you haven’t fucked my mother, Eve.”
“No, babe,” Everett said easily. “Just you and Joe. But I’m open if she is.”
“Get out,” Jace snapped. “Leave my mother’s house. Now.“,
Everett chuckled, stole one last éclair, winked at the twins, blew me a kiss–making Milo and Jace
visibly bristle–and finally walked out.
“I fucking hate that guy,” Jace muttered.
“You do not,” Junia said. “He’s harmless. And he’s fun. And he’s probably joking about Mom.
Probably.”
Jace rolled his eyes. “Whatever. Back to my question. Do you want to be Daddy’s little girl?”
“I don’t even know what that means exactly,” I admitted. “Lena said she takes care of her partner’s

needs–feeds her, dresses her, takes her to the park. I don’t know if I’d be into all that.”
Milo’s voice went thoughtful. “If we go to the auction club… what would you put yourself up as?”
“I don’t know,” I said, chewing on it. “I’d have to think.”
Jace’s mouth curved, like he’d already decided. “Think fast, baby. Because we’re going tomorrow
night.”
The truth was, I had already picked.
I just wasn’t ready to say it out loud.
It felt a little scandalous–maybe even wrong–but it had been sitting in the back of my mind as a fantasy for a long time. I really wanted them to bid on me. Or at least make sure nobody else won.
Tomorrow night would tell me everything.
