Chapter 96 Mama Cici
Scar’s POV
O certo
“I require something to occupy myself. I become bored very easily. That is also the reason I enjoy treating my friends generously,” she says, giving a playful wink.
I move closer and embrace her. “You are truly one of the finest people. I want to express how deeply grateful I am that you became my friend. You, along with Summer and Gavin, have genuinely helped me become more outgoing. I was very unhappy before I met the three of you.”
“You are unique, Scar. Unaffected, kind, and enjoyable to subtly mislead.”
I laugh softly. The bell above the entrance chimes, and I am suddenly surprised from behind as strong,
masculine arms wrap around me. I am spun around quickly, and lips press firmly against mine. Then
feminine hands take hold of my face, and another set of lips kisses me.
I blink several times, looking at Maren and Gavin.
“Well, hello to both of you as well.”
“Thank you for your wonderful

understand his true feelings,” she y станту парртсос
He gazes down at her with deep affection, and she looks back at him with equal devotion. I feel truly
joyful.
“Hey everyone, we’re thinking of getting together at the beach house this weekend,” Maisie announces. “Summer and I are planning for around six o’clock on Friday night. Don’t forget to bring your own
drinks.”
Gavin glances down toward Maren. Maren gives an enthusiastic nod.
My mom approaches, her arms full of clothing and shoes. I make the introductions between her and
Gavin and Maren. Gavin immediately turns on his charm and begins to flirt with her in a completely shameless way. He has the rest of us laughing to the point of hysterics. My mother is certainly no amateur when it comes to flirting, and she soon has Gavin himself blushing. She has really been opening up over these last few days.
We all say our goodbyes. Later, we happen to run into Dylan and Natalie at a shop that sells ice cream. I look Natalie over carefully. I did not see her over the weekend because of my work, but she had not been at home either. She is now giving me a look with wide, obvious eyes.
“Mama, could you keep Dylan company for just a minute?” I ask. “I need to use the restroom, and I want Natalie to come along with me.”

Natalie and I leave them right away. I feel slightly bad about leaving my mother with a person she doesn’t know, but the two of them already seem to be getting along well.
“Girl, your mama is absolutely glowing,” Natalie tells me.
“Papa has finally convinced Hale to be in a proper relationship with them,” I explain.
“Shut up! Finally!” she exclaims. “After all those stories you have told me about them, I was honestly wondering if it was ever going to happen.”
“Yeah, and get this–Hale is selling his tattoo shop and moving back to Spain with them.”
“Wow.”
“So, tell me everything. How were the brothers?” I ask.
“Scar, I am just so confused,” she confesses. “Logan was actually really polite, and he seemed quite personable. Clayton, however, barely said two words to me. He did a lot of staring, he grunted, and he only gave one–word answers. Dylan did not seem to think anything was wrong at all. Neither one of them flirted with me even a little. So, I think I had the whole situation completely wrong. We ate our meal in almost complete silence. I did compliment them on their cooking, because it truly was very good. But that was basically it. I do not think they liked me very much. For the rest of the weekend they made themselves scarce. I barely even saw them. Dylan fucked me senseless in the bathroom while his brothers were sitting right there in the living room. I was not exactly quiet about it. But they both acted like it was not any kind of big deal. Although Clayton did stare very hard at me when I came back down the hall afterward. It was just a really strange weekend overall. I am staying home tonight. I feel like I need a little space.”
“So, maybe we were wrong about their intentions?” I suggest. “Maybe he just wanted you to meet them, and that was all.”
“Yeah, I suppose so,” she agrees. “It is just that I had really hyped up the whole idea of being in a foursome relationship, and now I think I am feeling kind of disappointed about it.”
“I completely understand that,” I say. “Hey, Maisie has invited us to her beach house this weekend. She mentioned we can bring whomever we want. You should invite Dylan. You can also extend the
invitation to his brothers, if you want.”
“Okay, I will talk to Dylan about it,” she says.
We walk back to the table where my mom and Dylan are sitting. After another couple of minutes, we finally leave the two of them.

My phone begins to ring. I feel a moment of hesitation before looking at it, but when I do, I smile.
“Hi, Mama Cici,” I answer.
“Hi Cici Cici,” my mom shouts from nearby.
“Scar, my dear, was that your mother you were speaking with?”
“Yes, it was.”
“Please tell her I send my greetings.”
“She returns the greeting, mama.”
“How are you doing now, Scar?”
“I am doing well. I am simply spending time with both my mom and my dad.”
“That is good to hear. The reason for my call is that I have something I need to tell you. Brennan has left. Last weekend, when he returned home, I confronted him severely for what he did to you. He claimed to have no memory of it. But he became very agitated, packed his belongings, and stated he
was going to Florida to see you.”
“How does he know my location?”
“I do not know, but he was certain. I did not argue with him. I would have called you sooner, but I did
not believe he would actually depart. He drove away very quickly. I assumed he would regain his
reason. However, I have not seen him at all this week.”
“I have not seen him either. So, perhaps he has regained his senses and is merely recovering somewhere in private.”
“I hope that is the case, dear. If he does appear, please call me. I will fly down and bring him back
myself.”
“I will do that, Mama Cici. Thank you for calling to tell me.”
“Alright, dear. Enjoy your time with your parents.”
I hang up the phone and proceed to tell my mom about the conversation.
“Surely, he would not drive all the way here,” she says.
I do not know. I begin to look around, feeling a slight sense of paranoia. I do not see anyone. The phone call from Mama Cici causes me to consider the previous phone calls. Perhaps they were from Brennan. I simply do not know. Surely he would not come all the way here just to harass me. If he does, he is in for a surprise. I have no intention of tolerating it. I am tired of being harassed.
