He Cheated I Rose Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 26

Chapter 26 Celebrating the Divorce

Had he truly done something to offend her?

Mr. Rosewood, it seems the CEO of Myers Group is quite the charmer, Bruce remarked. Fresh out of a divorce, and already there’s another woman waiting to comfort him.

Eugene heard the comment and glanced toward the Courthouse entrance.

Indeed, there was Arthurnewly divorced, yet already with another woman clinging to his arm right outside the building. The scene looked almost theatrical.

Was this the man considered a suitable partner for Cosmos Group? Did he truly deserve that distinction?

Eugene’s voice turned icy. Let’s go.

Bruce had been about to add another quip, but hearing Eugene’s tone, he immediately signaled the driver to depart.

The black sedan, which had arrived without fanfare, now slipped away just as quietly.

Meanwhile, Arthur remained rooted in place. Chloe had long since driven off, but he hadn’t moved an inch.

She really left just like that.

They were divorced now.

And she was probably off celebrating!

Logically, he should be the one feeling triumphant, while she ought to be devastatedperhaps even crying her eyes out. Yet reality seemed to have reversed their roles.

Arthur?Jennifer called softly, noticing his dazed expression. He didn’t even flinch.

A flicker of irritation passed through her. She had seen how Arthur’s eyes followed Chloe’s retreating figure, how he had almost stepped forward instinctively. It was clear Chloe still held some place in his

heart.

If that was the case, she’d better accelerate her plans.

Jennifer glanced meaningfully at Jenarth, who immediately understood. He walked over and took Arthur’s

hand.

Daddy Arthur, I’m hungry. Can we get something to cat? I’ll buy you fried chicken!Jenarth said with practiced innocence. I was really good todayMommy gave me pocket money and said I could have fried chicken. Let me treat you, okay? I have enough for lots of fried chicken!

Arthur finally snapped out of his trance at the child’s voice. He looked down at the sweet, seemingly considerate boy before him. Moments earlier, his mind had been filled with thoughts of Robert and

Chloe, but now those concerns faded slightly.

Jenarth, you don’t need to treat me. I will take you for a proper feast. He lifted the boy into his arms.

How about seafood?

Yay, that’s awesome!Jenarth clapped his small hands, eyes sparkling. Mommy, can I really have

seafood?

Jennifer gave Arthur a helpless look. Arthur, you’re spoiling him too much. What will he do when you’re

not around?

I don’t want to leave Daddy Arthur! I never want to leave!Jenarth became agitated, wrapping his arms tightly around Arthur’s neck. I only want Daddy Arthur!

Arthur glanced at Jennifer and shook his head gently. Don’t say things like that in front of him. Children take such words seriously.

Sorry, ArthurMy mistake.Jennifer lowered her head contritely.

I’m not going anywhere. Jenarth is the best boy.Arthur’s voice softened with affection.

I love Daddy Arthur the most!Jenarth declared, clinging even tighter.

AhemExcuse me

A deep male voice interrupted the warm moment. Arthur looked up to see a man in a suit standing nearby.

His expression instantly cooled. Amid all the drama, he had almost forgotten this man’s presence.

It was the lawyerZachary, if he recalled correctlywhom Chloe had hired for the divorce proceedings.

In the divorce agreement Chloe submitted, aside from custody matters concerning Robert, there were no clauses attempting to claim assets from Myers Group or himself. She truly seemed determined to sever all ties, cleanly and completely.

He had even consulted his own legal team to check if there were any loopholes she might exploit later- perhaps leaking to the media that she had been left with nothing after the divorce, potentially damaging the company’s reputation.

But Myers Group’s lawyers confirmed the agreement was airtight. Everything was explicitly stated- Chloe’s demands were clear and limited.

She really only wanted the divorcenot a single cent from him or Myers Group, except for that modest sum her mother had left her.

Zachary adjusted his glasses, a polite smile still in place. Mr. Myers, now that the divorce is finalized, would you kindly transfer the agreed amount to Ms. Lewis? Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll have to continue reminding you.”

Before he could respond, Zachary had already produced the relevant documents, presenting them courteously yet firmly. The numbers were impossible to missespecially the prominent figure of 180 million dollars, exactly as Arthur had committed.
