He Cheated I Rose Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 651

She had to get back to the venue—and before that, she still needed to fix her makeup.

Oralia understood how serious the situation had become. Pushing through the discomfort, she forced herself up and glanced anxiously at Zachary. "I... I need to head back now," she said, her voice tense.

Chloe leaned toward Eugene and kept her voice low. "What about Robert...?"

"Bruce is already on it. Don't worry—I wouldn't let anything happen to him," Eugene assured her quietly. "I'm presenting Best Actor and Best Actress, so I should return to the hall as well."

"Right. Thank you... for everything," Chloe replied softly. She then turned to Vincent beside her. "We should go back now. It wouldn't look good if we were both missing at a time like this."

Vincent stood watching as Chloe hurried off, his expression darkening.

Oralia touched up her makeup as quickly as she could. It wasn't as flawless as before, but it would hold up on camera. As for her neck, the silk scarf Melinda had been wearing as an accessory came in handy—Oralia tied it simply around her throat, and the mark was completely hidden.

One by one, they slipped back into their seats, careful not to draw attention.

When Chloe sat down, her grip tightened on the armrest. Though her composure was strained, she kept her posture poised.

Vincent took his seat beside her and lowered his voice. "Robert will be fine. I've already sent people to find him."

This time, he meant it.

The fact that Carolyn would pull something like this—here, of all places, and targeting a child—genuinely infuriated him. He'd let her off once before, but not this time.

Out of everyone, she had to go after a kid like Robert.

Vincent sent a quick text to his team, instructing them to lock down the venue and sweep every possible hiding spot. Carolyn had Robert with her; she wouldn't get far. Even if she had help, his team wouldn't let her slip away.

"They're announcing Best Actress now!"
