He Cheated I Rose Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 653

"Mr. Rosewood, we've located Carolyn."

"Where?" Chloe pressed, her voice tinged with urgency.

Bruce immediately sent over the coordinates. As Chloe studied the location, a flicker of unease passed through her eyes—it was an abandoned factory complex, surrounded by thick overgrowth and crumbling structures, offering plenty of places to hide.

But that also meant it was a trap waiting to be sprung.

Getting out wouldn't be easy.

Did Carolyn never intend to leave at all?

"Something doesn't feel right about this place," Zachary remarked after a moment, his gaze fixed on the map. He had cooled down slightly, but his tone remained wary.

"I don't care what it takes—I'm going to save Robert. Chloe, I'm coming with you," Oralia declared without hesitation.

"Me too," Melinda added firmly, her expression serious.

Chloe looked toward Eugene, her thoughts tangled and restless. Yet the moment their eyes met, some of the panic subsided, replaced by a fragile sense of calm.

"We'll get Robert back," Eugene said quietly, giving a slight nod.

"Okay."

With that, Chloe moved quickly, the others falling in step behind her. There was no discussion, no second-guessing—each of them was focused on one goal: bringing Robert home safely.

The lounge, which had been filled with tense conversation moments before, was now still. Only Vincent remained, seated with an air of detached elegance, as though the whole affair were nothing more than a mildly interesting scene playing out beyond his window.

"Clo-Clo, why won't you ever listen?" he murmured to himself. On his phone glowed a message from his men—sent several minutes before Eugene's team had even gotten their lead.

He had known where Carolyn was hiding before anyone else. He'd tried to warn Chloe, but she hadn't wanted to hear it.

"You've strayed quite far from our original understanding, Clo-Clo," Vincent said under his breath. His eyes skimmed over the update once more. He didn't mention the explosives his team had planted around Carolyn's hideout—high-grade, remotely triggered charges capable of leveling the entire structure.

If things went sideways, no one would walk out alive.

For a long while, Vincent simply sat there, motionless and pensive. It wasn't until his bodyguards entered the room that he slowly rose to his feet.

"Master, the car is ready," one of them said, carefully draping Vincent's overcoat across his shoulders.

"The main act hasn't even begun," Vincent replied smoothly. "It would be a shame to leave now."
