"Eugene, please wake up. I'm begging you. Chloe—that girl—she went out for revenge." Hogan stood beside the hospital bed, his voice low as he shared what he'd pieced together.
Rhea had just stepped out of the restroom. When she caught Hogan's words, she froze for a second before saying, "Honey, she went for revenge? How could she be so reckless? She's just a young woman—how's she supposed to pull that off? We don't even know who we're up against."
"Try to stay calm. Chloe knows what she's doing. We've got to trust her on this." Hogan reached for Rhea's hand and waited until her breathing steadied before continuing firmly, "We have to believe she can handle herself."
But his expression gave away his helplessness. Chloe had gone after the Master of Silverash—he was almost certain of it now.
But someone who rose to lead Silverash... would they really be that easy to take down?
That same person had trained Chloe, taught her everything she knew. If she confronted him now...
Hogan was terrified she'd get herself killed.
Eugene wasn't improving. The doctors had made it clear—if things didn't change soon, he could slip into a permanent vegetative state. That kind of prognosis was impossible to accept. Chloe must have heard it, too. Revenge was probably the only thing on her mind.
It was a foolish, desperate move.
What if she tried to take him down with her...?
Hogan leaned closer to Eugene's still form and whispered, "Eugene, Chloe needs you right now. Please... just wake up."
There was no response.
They couldn't locate Chloe anywhere. Bruce had reached out to every contact, called in every favor—still nothing.
Even Robert's global tracking system came up empty. Chloe had vanished, completely off the grid. It was like she'd intentionally avoided every surveillance camera, every digital footprint—making sure no one could trace her.
"How is she just gone? She's a full-grown woman—she can't just disappear!" Rhea's voice shook with worry. She'd been trying so hard to keep it together, but this news almost broke her composure.
"Ms. Lewis has the skills to evade detection. That's well within her capabilities. If she wanted to be found, we wouldn't be scrambling like this. The fact we can't track her means she's actively avoiding us. She doesn't want to be followed," Bruce explained, laying out the hard truth.
Chloe was gone. And none of them had any idea where.
