The day my flight landed in Chrovia, Xenia was there to welcome me home. A handsome man was standing next to her. He smiled at me shyly.

“Yvonne, this is my boyfriend. His name is Shane Lindon.”

Shane reached out a hand. “Hello, Ms. Sherman. Xenia talks about you a lot.”

I shook his hand. “Just call me Yvonne.”

Xenia grabbed my arm and began chattering nonstop. “Good timing! My wedding is next month. Be my maid of honor, okay?”

I was shocked. “So soon?”

“Of course! I have to lock down the right man for me after all!” Xenia said with a bright smile. “Besides, a certain someone is getting impatient.”

Shane’s ears were tinged red as he reached out and put an arm around her shoulders. I smiled happily as I looked at them.

It was great; it was great to see that people around me still believed in love, and that they could still be happy. On the way back, Xenia asked me cautiously, “What are you planning to do now?

“I’m going to rest for a while, then…” I thought about it. “I might go help out at Grandpa’s company.”

“Mr. Mortner’s going to be so happy!” Xenia said.

Then, her eyes gleamed, and she said, “By the way, in the past few months, there have been plenty of people trying to get to know more about you.”

“Who?”

“Well, some handsome suitors, that’s all,” she said, stealing a glance at my reaction. “I turned them down for you, though. I said you needed some time to yourself.”

“Thanks,” I said with a chuckle.

“But, Yvonne, are you really not planning to-”
