He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 165

Franklin originally wanted to argue back.

But the words died on his tongue.

Watching his sister's agitated display, a calculating gleam flickered in his eyes. He realized that if Felicity pushed hard enough, it might accelerate Seraphina and Pierce's split, which would actually play right into his hands.

With that in mind, he decided not to stop her.

Instead, he stared at her, offering a stern warning. "I never said you couldn't help Lyra. But remember this: you can help her, but whatever you do, you absolutely cannot physically harm Seraphina. Understood?"

Felicity blinked, looking bewildered. "Why do you care so much about her? You have nothing to do with her, so why are you so worried?"

His body stiffened slightly.

His eyes darted away, knowing this was definitely not the time to confess everything.

Steadying himself, he casually offered an excuse. "I don't care about her. I'm just worried that if she gets hurt or something bad happens, she'll latch onto Pierce for good. Then he’ll never be able to shake her, and Lyra will have zero chance. Do you really want Lyra to be kept away from the man she loves?"

A look of profound realization dawned on her face. Her confusion vanished, replaced by sheer panic.

She jumped up from the sofa. "I just thought of something! I need to call Lyra right now before it's too late!"

Frowning, he asked, "What is it? What happened?"
