He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 191

Officer Fletcher thought for a moment and nodded. "Sure, that works. We have a vacant women's dorm behind the station. She can stay there for the night. It's supervised and safe."

"Thank you, Officer Fletcher. I really appreciate this."

Pierce Prescott breathed a sigh of relief. He was about to say more when his phone rang again. It was Alistair Prescott, rushing him with even more urgency.

He gave a hasty reply, hung up, and turned to walk out.

The moment he stepped out of the station doors, he saw Silas Sterling leaning against a car, arms crossed. Silas glared at him with cold, unbridled hostility.

Spotting him, Silas immediately stood up straight, strode over, and grabbed him by the collar. "Pierce, where is Seraphina? Why are you coming out alone?"

Pierce forcefully pried Silas's hands off and smoothed his collar, his tone irritable and impatient.

"What happens between my wife and me is none of your business."

Silas let out a cold laugh, his eyes full of mockery. "Pierce, if you can't take proper care of her, then let her go! Leave her to someone who actually can!"

Pierce scoffed, too disdainful to waste breath on him. "Keep dreaming, Silas. Even if I were dead, Seraphina Somerset would never choose you. Give it up."

"That's not necessarily true." Silas took a step closer, his gaze unwavering. "She's completely given up on you now. One day, she'll see my true heart."

"We'll see about that," Pierce dropped the icy words and looked away. He opened the car door, got in, and sped off toward the hospital—he just wanted to deal with his grandfather and Lyra Langley as quickly as possible so he could get back to Seraphina.

In the car, Pierce gripped the steering wheel, his brows furrowed tightly. His mind was filled with the gentle look on Seraphina's face when she held the baby, contrasted sharply with her cold, distant eyes from just moments ago.
