Pierce walked over with a freezing expression and intentionally bumped his shoulder hard against Silas's.
Silas stumbled backward a few steps. Thanks to his quick reflexes, he grabbed the edge of the wall to steady himself.
"Silas, are you okay?"
Seraphina tried to check on him, but Pierce stepped sideways, blocking her path.
His demeanor had shifted from mocking to a coiled, predatory tension. "Whether he's okay or not is none of your business."
Seraphina's temper flared. "What I do is none of your business, Pierce."
"Seraphina," Pierce's voice grew dangerously cold. "I am your husband. Are you really going to flirt with another man right in front of me?"
Seraphina let out a cold laugh. "I flirted with plenty of men when you weren't around."
Pierce's eyes darkened instantly. "What did you just say?"
She frowned, trying to walk around him, but Pierce stubbornly acted as a brick wall, blocking the doorway no matter which way she moved.
She looked up at him with a mocking smile. "Let me repeat myself so you hear it clearly. During the three years you were gone, I was all over other men. They even came to the villa you bought and slept in our marital bed. Are you satisfied now?"
"Seraphina Somerset!"
Pierce looked ready to commit murder, a storm brewing in his eyes. "Are you telling the truth?"
Seraphina crossed her arms, throwing his earlier tactic back at him. "Move out of the way. If I'm in a good mood, maybe I'll tell you if it's true or not."
The explosive tension between them silenced everyone in the hallway.
