He Loves Me Right, Finally novel Chapter 120

After reading the message, Wynette grabbed her phone and headed into the walk-in closet.

She changed into a sporty outfit suitable for going out.

Carefully, Wynette opened her bedroom door.

The house was completely quiet at this hour.

Alice and Joanne were probably already asleep.

She tiptoed downstairs, afraid of making enough noise to wake either of them.

When she reached the garage, Wynette stopped in front of a modified black motorcycle.

She had just put on her helmet and was about to get on when a voice suddenly rang out. "Where are you going this late?"

The sudden sound startled Wynette so badly that her heart nearly jumped out of her chest.

Looking up, she realized Adriel had somehow appeared beside her without her noticing.

Her garage happened to sit close to the side of Adriel's house.

Taking a closer look, Wynette noticed a few leaves still stuck in his hair.

Her eyes widened. "Adriel, did you climb over the wall?"

It was obvious he'd climbed over the fence from his side and jumped into her yard.

The dignified eldest son of the Gallaghers sneaking over a neighbor's wall in the middle of the night. Isn't he worried about ruining his image if word gets out?

What shocked Wynette even more was that Adriel would actually do something this ridiculous in the first place.

Caught red-handed, Adriel looked visibly awkward and cleared his throat. "I came over normally."

No matter what, he absolutely wouldn't admit he'd climbed the wall.

Adriel had been waiting for Wynette to reply to his messages, but no matter how long he waited, nothing came.

After hearing from Joanne that Wynette had gone out to dinner with them and returned home, Adriel wrapped up his own work and came back too.

The balcony of his main bedroom happened to face the direction of Wynette's bedroom.

Even though there was some distance between the villas, if Adriel wanted to look, he could still catch glimpses of what was happening on her side.

Wynette only closed her heavy curtains when she was about to sleep.

Sometimes, when she walked past the window, Adriel could see her silhouette through the curtains.

He'd been keeping an eye on her side the entire evening.

Especially after noticing the lights in her garage turn on and realizing she was heading out this late at night, Adriel chose the faster route and climbed the wall instead.

If he'd gone around through the front gate, Wynette probably would've driven off already.

Then he realized she wasn't taking a car but a motorcycle instead, and he finally spoke up.

He knew Wynette occasionally rode motorcycles, but very rarely. Usually, she only chose one when she was in a hurry.

So where exactly was she rushing off to this late at night?

Adriel couldn't help worrying.

At that point, he no longer cared about how awkward things had become between them.

Smiling, Wynette pointed at the leaves in his hair. "Maybe take those off first?"

Adriel froze slightly.

He reached up and accurately plucked the leaves from his hair. His expression instantly changed as he guiltily looked away.

Damn it. How careless of me.

Wynette kept smiling. "You just reminded me. I should probably turn the neighborhood fence alarm back on."

Adriel fell silent.

Great. Now this is even more embarrassing.

At this point, he genuinely had no idea how to face her anymore.

Looking at Adriel's flustered expression, the smile on Wynette's face deepened. "Come on. I'll take you for a ride."

She patted the back seat of the motorcycle and tossed him a helmet.

Adriel caught it, put it on, and shamelessly climbed onto the bike behind her. "Want me to drive instead?"

Wynette turned her head and teased him, "What's that supposed to mean? You don't trust my driving skills?"

Adriel immediately replied, "No, of course I trust you."

Only then did Wynette smile in satisfaction. "Hold on tight."

As soon as she finished speaking, she started the motorcycle and sped out of the garage.

Adriel instantly wrapped an arm around her slender waist.

Adriel focused his eyes and immediately recognized him. Well, well. Isn't that Noah?
