Wynette quickly slapped a hand over Adriel's mouth.
If he kept running his mouth like this, she was going to die from embarrassment.
"Shut up," she warned through gritted teeth. "Say one more thing and you're done for."
Even with her hand covering his mouth, Adriel still kept mumbling.
Wynette reached over and pinched his waist lightly.
Adriel's face twitched for a second before he finally threw his hands up in surrender.
Wynette didn't think she had pinched him that hard.
Honestly, if she did it a couple more times, he probably would not survive it.
Only after Adriel gave in did she quietly relax.
She glared at him for a moment, then wrung out the towel again and started wiping down his chest.
Wynette moved fast, trying to finish as quickly as possible.
This time, Adriel behaved himself and stopped teasing her.
But when the towel brushed across his lower abs, his whole body suddenly tensed.
"Alright, that's enough." He stopped her immediately.
If she kept going, things were going to get dangerous.
Wynette seemed to catch on. She looked up at him with a faint smile. "That's good enough for you?"
Adriel had just started nodding when Wynette suddenly pressed the towel against him and scrubbed hard twice.
The pressure against his stomach almost made him jump off the couch.
Somehow, he forced himself to stay still.
He quickly grabbed her wrist with his right hand and admitted defeat. "Okay, okay. I was wrong. I'll reflect on my mistakes. Please spare me."
Satisfied at last, Wynette pulled her hand back and carried the bucket and towel upstairs.
Watching her leave, Adriel glanced down at himself and sighed inwardly. Yeah, he brought this on himself.
He took several deep breaths and slowly calmed himself down.
By the time Wynette came back downstairs, Adriel had finally gotten himself under control.
She was holding a black shirt in her hands.
Walking over to him, she said, "Turn around. I need to put medicine on your back."
Adriel obediently turned around and sat with his back facing her.
Wynette carefully applied medicine to the scrapes on his back.
Thankfully, the injuries looked scarier than they really were. Most of them were just surface wounds.
In a few days, they would scab over and heal.
After finishing, Wynette spoke again. "Let me change the bandage on your left arm too."
There were faint bloodstains on the gauze.
Adriel glanced at it. "It's fine. I'll have Blaze change it for me at the office tomorrow."
He mainly worried the wound would scare her.
The doctor had warned him not to reopen the stitches, but there was no way he could keep his arm perfectly still all day.
The stitches were right near his elbow, so even small movements pulled at the wound.
A little bleeding was normal.
Wynette frowned immediately. "Why wait until tomorrow when I'm already here? Doesn't seeing all that blood bother you?"
"Give me your arm."
Her tone left no room for argument. Seeing how serious she was, Adriel finally stopped refusing. He got up, moved closer, and held out his left arm.
