Outside the hospital, Blaze was already waiting.
The moment he saw Wynette and Adriel walking out hand in hand, a trace of amusement flashed across his face. "So does this mean I can officially call her Mrs. Gallagher now?"
Wynette looked at Blaze in surprise.
He knew about Adriel's feelings too?
Blaze's teasing instantly made Wynette feel embarrassed all over again.
Adriel glanced sideways at him and parted his thin lips slightly. "Your bonus is doubled this month."
Blaze grinned. "You are so generous, Mr. Gallagher! Thank you, Mrs. Gallagher."
Wynette silently looked away.
Adriel shot Blaze a warning look, signaling him not to scare Wynette too much, otherwise forget the bonus, he would deduct his entire salary.
Understanding the meaning behind his boss's expression, Blaze gave an innocent little laugh.
Blaze drove while Wynette and Adriel sat together in the backseat.
The moment Adriel got into the car, he immediately grabbed Wynette's hand as though afraid she might disappear from his side.
Faced with this, Wynette could only helplessly allow him to keep holding her hand.
Tilting his head toward her, Adriel asked, "So when are you moving into my place?"
Now that they had made their relationship clear and officially decided to be together, then...
Living together wasn't too much, right?
After thinking for a moment, Wynette replied, "Your place is literally a few steps away from mine; aren't we already together?"
"That's different," Adriel immediately argued. "I want to take care of you every second of the day."
Even though they were technically neighbors already, Adriel wanted to wake up and see Wynette the moment he opened his eyes; he wanted to live under the same roof as her.
Wynette met Adriel's gaze and was just about to say something.
Before she could speak, Adriel continued on his own, "If moving into my place feels inconvenient for you, that's fine, I can move into yours instead."
After saying that, he turned toward Blaze. "Blaze, help me move my things over to Wynette's place. I'll be living there from now on, you know where to find me."
"Understood, Mr. Gallagher." Blaze held the steering wheel with both hands while looking at his boss through the rearview mirror like he was some peacock proudly showing off.
Especially after seeing the stunned look on Wynette's face, Blaze nearly burst out laughing.
He suddenly remembered what Adriel once told him. What dignity does a man need when chasing his wife? Smart men fight for their status themselves.
Sure enough, the boss's words were the absolute truth.
Wynette didn't reject Adriel's suggestion, mainly because every time she looked into his eyes, he wore an expression like he would feel deeply wronged if she refused.
And right now, she simply couldn't handle him looking at her like that.
It looked as though she were bullying him.
Fortunately, Ryker and Kaylee had already moved back to the Jewell residence yesterday.
The renovations there were finally finished, and the two insisted on moving back no matter what because they were worried staying here any longer would affect Wynette.
Every morning now, Ryker first goes to Virgil's clinic for needle therapy treatment before heading to Holloway Group's hospital for rehabilitation exercises.
Although he had only just started treatment, the results were already remarkably noticeable.
At the very least, Ryker could now speak much more smoothly and was even able to stand briefly on his own.
That kind of improvement finally gave the Jewells hope again.
On the drive back, Wynette received a text message from an unfamiliar number. "So you're really with Adriel now? Wynette, I don't believe it. How could you possibly like Adriel? You're lying to me, right? I know I was wrong, so what exactly do I have to do for you to forgive me?"
One glance was enough for Wynette to know it was from Noah.
The contents of the message instantly irritated her.
Tapping the screen with one hand, she coldly replied, "Then die. If you die, I'll forgive you immediately."
