He Loves Me Right, Finally novel Chapter 182

After dropping Adriel off, Wynette returned to her company.

The moment she stepped into her office, Alice followed right behind her.

"The material for the finale piece, 'Twilight Rose,' has been discontinued by the supplier; they can't provide the raw fabric anymore," Alice said to Wynette.

The other showcase pieces were all currently being adjusted and finalized.

"Twilight Rose" was one of the main finale designs, a sheath dress embroidered with gold-pressed roses.

The primary fabric was silk satin, and Jewell Group previously had a long-term supplier that specifically provided that type of silk satin.

The supplier had originally promised to ship the fabric yesterday, but no one had been able to contact them all day.

Then today, when they finally got through by phone, the supplier suddenly claimed the raw material had been discontinued, and even their remaining inventory had already been cleared out.

At this point, trying to find replacement gold-pressed rose silk satin was obviously too late.

The moment she heard this, Wynette's expression darkened slightly. "Didn't the supplier say yesterday they would still send it over?"

"The explanation they gave was that there had been an inventory recording error; the remaining 1600 feet of fabric had actually already been sold, but it was entered incorrectly during stock reconciliation," Alice replied with a serious expression.

Right now, the most important thing is finding that exact material.

Wynette frowned. "No other suppliers have it either?"

If another supplier carried the same fabric, Wynette would still be willing to buy it at a high price.

Alice shook her head. "My assistant and Shirley both contacted everyone they could, but no one has it."

Otherwise, Alice would never have come directly to Wynette.

She had already started handling the issue the very first moment it appeared.

After checking every possible source, there was still no suitable replacement material.

And if they could not even find a substitute version, then "Twilight Rose" would have to be removed from the showcase lineup entirely.

That was the final option.

Still, Alice truly believed "Twilight Rose" deserved to appear in the show, because she had a feeling this design would create an enormous reaction.

Even she herself had fallen in love with the sketch the first time she saw it.

After thinking for a moment, Wynette said, "I'll go there personally."

Yesterday they still claimed the silk satin was available, and today they suddenly said it was gone.

Even though the explanation about inventory errors sounded reasonable, Wynette still decided to see things for herself.

Alice immediately added, "I'll go with you."

"No, you need to stay here," Wynette stopped Alice from following her. "This side still needs you personally overseeing things; the showcase is the day after tomorrow, neither side can afford any mistakes."

For safety reasons, Wynette still believed Alice should remain behind.

After all, the showcase side was Alice's specialty, and having her in charge there was the best option.

As for the fabric issue, Wynette felt she could personally handle it herself.

It also gave her a chance to better understand the current material market and prepare for future plans.

Alice's intention to go along was ultimately persuaded away by Wynette.

Reluctantly, she said, "Fine, but contact me once you get there."

After Alice left, Wynette immediately called Shirley in.

"Send me all the supplier's information, including the factory address," Wynette instructed Shirley. "I'm going there personally, meanwhile, help Alice oversee the company, and whatever she needs, do your best to support her."

Shirley quickly searched through the supplier records and sent both the factory address and the contact information for the person in charge directly to Wynette's phone.

Judging from Wynette's words, does she really intend to go to the supplier personally?

"Ms. Jewell, you're going there alone? Let me come with you," Shirley said anxiously.

Wynette shook her head and refused. "The company still needs someone watching things here. If you come with me too, what happens if the Shepherds pull something dirty again?"

The showcase needed Alice personally overseeing it, while the company itself also required someone Wynette trusted to remain behind.

And Shirley was the best choice.
