After thinking for a moment, Wynette said to Callie, "Thank you so much. If there really are suitable fabrics, Ms. Robinson, please send me your measurements. I'd like to make a sheath dress for you as a gift. It's just a small token of my appreciation, and I hope you won't refuse. You really helped me a lot this time, and I sincerely want to thank you."
She came up with a way to express her gratitude.
Callie liked sheath dresses, and it just so happened that many elements in Wynette's latest designs involved sheath dress styles. She thought she could specially customize one for Callie to show her thanks.
Although Callie probably didn't need it, considering she had her own brand.
Still, this was the most suitable thank-you gift Wynette could think of based on Callie's interests.
Without hesitation, Callie sent her measurements to Wynette. "Then I won't be polite about it. I'm looking forward to the sheath dress you make for me."
Wynette had originally worried that Callie would refuse.
Hearing her response now, Wynette finally relaxed.
A smile appeared on her face.
Callie looked at her and continued, "Take your time choosing. Once you decide, let me know, and I'll have my assistant deliver them."
Wynette had already forwarded the photos to Alice.
She was waiting for Alice to choose.
Callie spoke again. "Also, can you give me an invitation to this fashion showcase? I'd like to attend."
Normally, events like this gave each participating brand a certain number of internal invitations.
It made it easier for brands to invite business partners and promote future cooperation.
Wynette hadn't expected Callie to want to attend. She replied, "Of course, no problem. I'll have my assistant send the invitation to you."
"There's no need to go through all that trouble. Once I finish handling things here, I'll head to Scenaville myself. I can just pick it up from you then." Callie had already made her plans.
Wynette thought that made sense.
She said slowly, "Then let me know before you come. I'll help arrange a hotel room for you."
As the host, Wynette felt that since she was inviting Callie over, she should properly arrange everything.
Callie nodded slightly. "Alright."
Halfway through the meal, Alice replied to Wynette.
She only selected two types of silk satin fabric, and she didn't need much of either.
When Wynette had asked Alice to choose, she had already explained the situation in Lucardia truthfully.
That included the fact that all the fabrics in the photos were part of Callie's private collection.
Wynette told Callie which two fabrics Alice had selected and clearly stated that they didn't need much, only enough to make one sheath dress.
Callie called her assistant and instructed her to package the two selected fabrics and deliver them to the hotel.
After giving her instructions, Callie chatted casually with Wynette while they ate.
Callie noticed how attentively Adriel took care of Wynette, and the smile in her eyes deepened.
Although she didn't know Adriel personally, she had heard of him.
The man known to outsiders as an eternal iceberg was actually treating Wynette with such gentleness and care.
Was this the power of love?
After the meal, Callie's assistant walked into the private dining room carrying beautifully wrapped fabric packages.
Wynette accepted the gift bags gratefully.
Callie took a gift box from her assistant and handed it to Wynette. "It's your first time in Lucardia, so this is a welcome gift for you. Open it and see if you like it."
"How could I accept this?" Wynette looked at the gift box in Callie's hands in surprise.
She reached out and took it anyway, feeling embarrassed to let Callie keep holding it.
Why had this trip been filled with so many problems?
She was seriously stressed to death.
From a distance, Adriel noticed Wynette looking troubled and walked over to her. "What's wrong?"
He sat down beside her and leaned closer.
Wynette looked up at him. "The train tickets have stopped selling too. How are we supposed to get back tomorrow?"
Adriel leaned down and gently kissed her forehead. "Let's wait and see tonight. Maybe they'll reopen ticket sales tomorrow morning."
With weather issues like this, it was impossible to predict.
Hearing Adriel's words, Wynette felt he had a point.
She shifted slightly and wrapped her arms around his waist as she looked at him. "Say, when Ms. Robinson comes to Scenaville, what kind of gift should I give her in return? I checked online just now, and that scarf is the most expensive and highest-end item sold under her brand. She even generously gave me those two extremely valuable fabrics. I honestly feel a little embarrassed accepting them."
Thinking back on her interactions with Callie today, Wynette actually had a very good impression of her.
Adriel fell into thought.
If he remembered correctly, the outside world's evaluation of Callie was quite different from the person he and Wynette had met today.
Callie was supposedly difficult, eccentric, and moody. She always acted according to her feelings, and sometimes her words could be especially sharp and sarcastic.
If it weren't for the Robinsons' influence backing her up, with Callie's sharp tongue alone, plenty of enemies would probably want to deal with her.
But today's Callie had been gentle, polite, and surprisingly kind to Wynette.
So kind that Adriel couldn't help feeling suspicious.
Could Callie have some other motive toward Wynette?
He stared at Wynette without blinking while rapidly calculating possibilities in his mind.
