Helena was as numb and detached as a total stranger.
She didn't give a damn about Sebastian's exploding temper.
If he was going to make her miserable, she had zero reason to cater to his fragile ego.
She continued speaking, her tone completely flat.
"Sebastian, you've already signed The Divorce Agreement. Whatever I do with my life now is none of your concern. We're nothing but a business transaction at this point," she stated, clear as day.
Those words completely sent him over the edge.
His mind was suddenly flooded with violent images of her leaving him, walking away with another man.
Images of her breathless and moaning underneath someone else.
The sheer, burning agony of it felt like having his own property violently ripped from his hands.
He let out a cold laugh, making his reality crystal clear to her.
"Helena, I only signed a piece of paper. That doesn't mean we're actually divorced yet." His voice dripped with warning.
"You are still Mrs. Hayes right now, understand?" He made sure there was no room for misinterpretation.
Helena just stared at him quietly, not showing a single trace of anger.
She simply gave a faint, indifferent, "Okay."
Her detached, emotionless attitude threw him completely off balance.
No screaming, no fighting back.
It actually made Sebastian the one who was internally spiraling.
His expression darkened into pure thunder.
"If that's all, I'll go wait outside," she said, trying to stand up.
This time, Sebastian violently shoved her back down onto the cushions.
His heavy, muscular body immediately pinned her down.
Panic finally flashed across her face. "Sebastian, what the hell are you doing!"
"Reminding you who your man is," he growled.
His hands moved relentlessly, practically tearing her clothes off.
When the cold air hit her bare skin, she shivered violently, goosebumps erupting all over.
She shoved at his chest wildly. "No, get off me, don't—"
"No? You're my wife. If I want to take you, I take you." His face was stone cold as he declared his absolute ownership.
Then, the sickening sound of fabric ripping echoed through the room.
She screamed on instinct.
