Sebastian couldn't refute a single word.
All he could do was watch her in silence.
She knew she was right.
"This is pointless, Sebastian. I told you, we are never happening. Regardless of who I am. Whether I'm Helena Wallace or Julian's wife."
She articulated each word with crystal clarity.
Having made her point, she had no desire to argue further.
Not caring what time it was, she turned to leave.
Ever since her memories returned, she knew she was in Northbay Cove.
That meant finding a way out wouldn't be impossible.
But the moment she turned, he grabbed her wrist.
His voice was low and gravelly as he stared at her.
"You aren't entirely indifferent to me, Helena. Are you?" he demanded bluntly.
She let out a faint chuckle and glanced down at his grip on her wrist.
Outwardly, she remained completely unfazed.
Without a single word, she smoothly twisted her wrist out of his grasp.
"You think I'm not indifferent to you?" she mocked.
"Is it because I was cooperative in bed, making you think I was actually aroused and wanted it?"
"Because you assumed I was longing for our past, unable to let it go?"
"Or because I was so warm to your child?"
She threw the questions at him, one by one.
He neither confirmed nor denied it.
"Helena, if you truly felt nothing, you wouldn't have gone to such lengths," he stated coolly.
"Even if you had an ulterior motive, your body's physical response was real." His voice deepened.
It was as if he was trying to force a confession out of her.
