Helena listened quietly, letting her friend vent.
She had anticipated this the second Sebastian hit that follow button.
"And this isn't a good thing. Her fans are flooding your comments, cursing you out with the most vile, disgusting insults you can imagine."
"..."
"Is this his new sick way of torturing you? Some kind of twisted psychological warfare?" Sophia demanded, genuinely worried.
She wasn't exaggerating. Knowing Sebastian's ruthless nature, there was nothing he wasn't capable of doing.
Given the current hostility between Helena and her husband, Sophia knew better than to foolishly believe Sebastian had suddenly fallen madly in love with her.
The situation was a powder keg, and Sophia was terrified for her friend.
"Probably not," Helena replied breezily. "If he wanted to torture me, he has a million ways to do it. He wouldn't need to follow me just to sic Janetta's troll army on me. Besides, I can just log off. It doesn't affect me at all."
"I guess that's true," Sophia muttered, sounding slightly appeased. "Then what the hell is he trying to pull?"
"He's putting on a show for Janetta," Helena stated bluntly.
Sophia couldn't argue with that logic.
Faced with this massive, complicated mess, she didn't even know what advice to give anymore.
A heavy silence stretched over the line before Sophia finally spoke again.
"Lena, now that Janetta is back in town, what are you going to do?"
Helena paused, carefully considering her answer.
"Whether she's back or not, I'm staying until I give birth. After that, I'm leaving," she finally replied with firm resolve.
It was part of the deal.
Once the baby was born and Sebastian secured his inheritance shares, their marriage would be permanently terminated.
Sophia didn't say anything to that.
But for some inexplicable reason, a deep sense of dread washed over her.
She had a horrible gut feeling that something massive was about to go wrong, even if she couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.
"Are girls usually this wild?" his deep, velvety voice broke the silence.
The unexpected question caught her off guard.
"What?" she blinked in confusion.
"I thought the doctor said we were having a girl. I assumed daughters were supposed to be quiet," he elaborated casually.
Talking about the baby instantly melted Helena's defensive walls.
A radiant, maternal glow softened her sharp features.
This was the only topic in the world that allowed them to exist in peaceful harmony.
"Babies are naturally active around this month because they still have some room to move around," she explained softly. "Otherwise, being cooped up in such a tiny space would be incredibly uncomfortable for her."
Sebastian hummed in acknowledgment.
His hand slowly traced the contours of her belly, following the little kicks and punches.
Helena watched him quietly before speaking again. "Being active isn't a bad thing. At least it means she won't grow up soft and easy to bully."
