When Janetta and Sebastian got married, they moved into a brand-new luxury apartment.
She had demanded the purchase.
And he had bought it.
But he rarely actually lived there.
Most of the time, Kyle stayed with him.
Only when Janetta suddenly remembered she had a son.
Or when she needed a favor from Sebastian, would she ask for the boy to be brought over.
Just like today. She had specifically asked for Kyle to visit.
Yet she had abandoned him there all alone.
A dark, dangerous glint flashed in Sebastian's eyes, an obvious sign of his anger toward her.
But he kept a tight lid on his temper in front of Helena.
Still, his revelation made her pause.
"You don't live with your wife?" she asked casually.
"No," he confirmed without trying to hide it.
But he didn't elaborate.
Their relationship wasn't exactly at the 'spilling secrets' stage.
She was genuinely surprised.
It sounded like his relationship with Janetta was nowhere near as perfect as it used to be.
The realization shattered her previous assumptions.
A sudden silence settled over the car.
They exited the highway and headed straight for the apartment.
She knew exactly where it was.
It was one of the most famous luxury buildings in Riverton.
Janetta had bragged about it endlessly when they married, making sure the whole city knew where she lived.
She never expected to find herself arriving there like this.
She remained quiet.
"My wife actually doesn't spend much time here either," Sebastian mentioned offhandedly.
He pulled the car into the underground garage.
