The venue was incredibly lively, easily rivaling the energy of any major award show's red carpet.
Only Helena and Charlotte Morgan kept a low profile.
Charlotte stayed backstage in the staff section, barely showing her face to the media.
It just wasn't the right time.
As investors, Helena and Julian also avoided drawing unnecessary attention.
Before the event kicked off, they quietly took their seats in the VIP section up front.
Gradually, actors, directors, and producers began filing into the venue.
A sudden ripple of excitement swept through the crowd as everyone instinctively turned toward the entrance.
That was when Helena saw Sebastian.
He had arrived alone, dressed impeccably in a formal black suit.
Stepping out of the car, he casually adjusted his jacket button, exuding a calm, unbothered confidence.
Janetta, who had arrived earlier, lit up with delight the moment she saw him.
She walked toward him, beaming brightly.
"Sebastian, I thought you were swamped! Did you make a special trip just for this?" she asked cheerfully, her voice laced with a hint of coquettish charm.
It was a performance for the cameras.
She needed to prove to the world that her marriage was picture-perfect.
And that Sebastian still prioritized her above all else.
Sebastian just looked at her quietly, offering no immediate response.
Still, in front of the watching crowd, he wasn't about to humiliate her.
He didn't want to make things difficult for Kyle's sake.
Janetta felt a twinge of awkwardness, but she maintained her flawless smile for the flashing lenses.
Their statuses at the event were entirely different.
Janetta was a leading actress.
Sebastian was one of the financial backers and had provided the venue.
Naturally, he was seated in the VIP section as well.
"Sebastian?" Janetta called out softly, noticing his silence.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready for the ceremony?" he finally replied, his tone indifferent.
With that, he smoothly pulled his arm from her grasp and walked past her without another word.
A purely obligatory acknowledgment.
Sebastian hummed in response and casually strolled over to his seat.
His assigned spot was in the second row.
Instead, he walked straight over and sat down right next to Helena.
The atmosphere instantly turned incredibly tense.
Helena frowned, and Julian's face darkened.
Even the person originally meant to sit beside Helena stood awkwardly in the aisle, unsure whether to ask Sebastian to move or just find another seat.
But the undercurrent of hostility between the three of them was so palpable that the guest quickly made a decision.
"Please, go ahead and sit here, Mr. Hayes. I'll take a seat in the back," the guest offered promptly.
They wanted no part in this crossfire and definitely didn't want to become collateral damage.
Sebastian merely offered a curt nod in response.
Helena's frown deepened.
Fortunately, the opening ceremony began moments later, pulling everyone's attention toward the stage.
The silent war brewing between the three of them temporarily faded into the background.
