This only further fueled the public's perception that his marriage to Janetta was falling apart.
But in the face of the reporters' probing, Sebastian offered no answer.
His bodyguards immediately stepped in to block the press.
Sebastian swiftly made his way onto the set.
Janetta had scenes to shoot today, but she was currently on a break.
Given the commotion outside, she was already well aware of his arrival.
She rushed to meet him right away, feigning absolute delight in her eyes.
"Sebastian, are you here to see me?" she asked with a radiant smile.
She seamlessly linked her arm through his.
It was a deliberate show of affection for the onlookers.
She was desperate to use this public display to shatter the rumors of their marital discord.
Sebastian looked down at her, his gaze eerily calm.
That look alone was enough to send a chill down her spine.
"Sebastian, why are you looking at me like that?" Janetta asked softly.
He replied coolly, "I need to talk to you."
He didn't waste a single word, getting straight to the point.
Caught off guard, Janetta froze for a second.
She fought down the rising tide of panic in her chest.
Then, she quietly followed him toward The Resting Room.
The door clicked shut behind them.
Janetta looked at him nervously, her voice threading with caution.
"Is there something you wanted to ask me?" she probed.
Sebastian remained composed. "I want to talk about Kyle."
"What's wrong with Kyle?" she asked, furrowing her brow.
That knot of dread tightened painfully in her stomach.
Under that suffocating scrutiny, her defenses crumbled instantly.
She knew there was no hiding it anymore.
"Sebastian, please, let me explain..." she pleaded desperately.
It didn't matter how he had found out anymore.
Sebastian just watched her, the last shreds of his patience evaporating into thin air.
"Who is the biological mother?" he demanded, cutting off any chance for her to spin another tale.
Janetta fell dead silent.
She collapsed against the sofa, muttering weakly, "I don't know. I just picked a woman who looked somewhat like me. You know how it works; the agency wouldn't reveal her identity to avoid unnecessary complications."
"Don't push me, Janetta," his voice turned downright lethal.
It was obvious he didn't believe a word she said.
She hadn't clawed her way to the top by being a naive, innocent little flower.
He knew her far too well for that.
