He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 752

Soon, Sebastian fell into a deep sleep as well.

In the blink of an eye, it was 2:10 PM.

Helena woke up slowly, having finally gotten enough rest.

Her pupils dilated as realization hit her—she recognized the surroundings immediately. This was Sebastian's apartment.

The memories of the morning came flooding back.

Because Skye wanted the leftover sliced fish congee Sebastian had brought yesterday, he had half-forced Helena to come over here.

Her expression shifted.

When she turned and saw Sebastian lying right beside her, pure shock ripped through her.

He was sound asleep next to her.

He was out cold, showing no signs of waking up.

In his slumber, the sharp, imposing lines of his face had softened considerably, melting away his usual tension.

This was a side of Sebastian that Helena had never seen before.

Seeing him like this so unexpectedly left her in a slight daze.

She stayed quiet, completely still.

Unable to decipher her own tangled emotions, Helena silently stared down at the man in front of her.

Her mind drifted back to so many things from their past.

She lowered her head, growing even quieter.

Once she snapped out of her trance, she didn't hesitate for a second. She spun around to leave.

Yet, the very moment she moved, Sebastian's hand shot out and locked like a vice around her wrist.

"Why are you running?" he asked, his tone impossibly calm.

Helena was forced to look back at him. "I'm going home."

"Skye is still sleeping. She hasn't woken up yet." His voice was thick with sleep. "Helena, you really have a habit of throwing people away once you're done with them, don't you? You sleep in my bed, dump the kid on me to look after, and now that you're well-rested, you're just going to walk out?"

He still didn't loosen his grip on her wrist.

Helena furrowed her brows. "I'll pay you."

Sebastian let out a dark, breathless laugh. "Do I look like I need your money?"

Faced with that reality, she fell into a suffocating silence.

She didn't dare move another inch.

However, she refused to turn around and look at him either.

It was her own form of silent rebellion.

Sebastian didn't mind. He sat up with a languid grace.

His sleep-roughened voice now carried a razor-sharp edge as he probed for a reaction.

"Is Skye really that important to you? When it comes down to it, she has nothing to do with you. She's a Campbell. Whether she lives or dies is their problem, so why do you care so much?" he asked mildly.

Helena didn't answer right away. She turned around, her eyes red-rimmed as she glared at him. "Sebastian, you are utterly despicable."

"I'm a businessman. I don't care about the process, only the results. Are you telling me Julian cares about how things get done? If he did, the Campbell family wouldn't be where they are today, would they?" He delivered the cruel, pragmatic truth without flinching.

Helena had no argument against that.

She just stared at him. "Sebastian, what exactly do you want from me?"

He didn't even blink. "Helena, I want you in exchange for Skye."
