He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 933

Helena didn't say a word.

Partly because it stung.

And partly because Sebastian was holding her hand.

It wasn't until he finished tending to the cut that he let go.

The wound wasn't deep; a simple band-aid was enough to take care of it.

She instantly snatched her hand back.

"You know, you're getting really good at burning bridges the second you get what you want," he remarked dryly.

His comment instantly ignited her temper. "What are you even doing here? You're distracting me."

"So it's my fault you cut your finger?" he arched an eyebrow. "What, do you want me to offer myself to you as compensation?"

Helena: "..."

She was instantly defeated.

She honestly hadn't realized he was this smooth-talking.

She fell silent.

"Go hang out with Kyle. I'll cook," he said casually.

She wanted to argue.

But she knew it would be completely pointless.

In the end, she gave up.

She walked out to the living room and gave Kyle a quick explanation. He immediately asked if she was okay.

He didn't seem to care at all that she wasn't the one cooking anymore.

She sat down to keep him company.

Meanwhile, Sebastian got to work in the kitchen.

They had lived in this apartment together for nearly three weeks before.

He knew exactly where everything was.

He didn't need her help at all.

"My dad is actually a really good cook," Kyle sighed. "But when he gets busy, he rarely cooks for me anymore."

"I see," she nodded.

"And, I promise, I really didn't know he was coming back today. I swear!" He held up his little hand solemnly.

"I don't blame you," she smiled.

Kyle had no control over what Sebastian did.

But he was definitely being used by his father.

"I was so scared you were going to kick me out earlier," he sighed again.
