He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 993

Sophia looked at Helena, a knowing smirk on her face.

"I bet you anything Sebastian is already in the parking garage right now," Sophia said bluntly.

"So, I'm going to make myself scarce. I refuse to be the third wheel. If I stay, I'm pretty sure Sebastian will murder me with his eyes," Sophia said, waving a hand dismissively.

With that, Sophia spun on her heel and headed straight for the elevators.

Helena didn't try to stop her.

She didn't say a word, just stood exactly where she was, waiting patiently for Sebastian to appear.

Sure enough, exactly as Sophia had predicted, Sebastian strode up to her in under three minutes.

Helena looked up at him, her expression calm.

"Where's your friend?" Sebastian asked casually as he looked down at her.

He seamlessly slipped his hand into hers, his eyes warm and completely unfazed.

"She went home," Helena replied.

Sebastian nodded. "Do you still have things to buy?"

"Quite a bit, actually," she answered.

"I'll carry your bags," Sebastian offered smoothly.

Helena didn't argue. She simply turned and continued her shopping spree.

In truth, she had already bought almost everything she needed.

She was just dragging out the trip, waiting to see how long it would take for Sebastian to bring up the confrontation.

But Sebastian possessed a terrifying amount of patience. He simply walked beside her, completely composed.

Whatever Helena picked up, Sebastian paid for without blinking.

He arranged for the larger items to be delivered directly to the Everett estate.

The smaller bags, he carried himself.

They shopped until well past six in the evening.

Finally, Sebastian looked down at her. "Let's grab dinner. I already texted Alistair and let him know we wouldn't be back for the family meal."

"Oh. Okay," Helena murmured.

"Your legs aren't fully healed; you can't walk around for hours like this," Sebastian added, his tone laced with genuine concern.

Helena knew he was right, so she didn't push herself any further.

Sebastian secured a table at an upscale restaurant right there in the mall.

They took their seats in a private dining room, the floor-to-ceiling windows framing the dazzling nightscape of the Capital.
