After a long pause, he looked up at her.
"There is too much turbulent history between you two. You are still hopelessly entangled. From what I see, you will face another catastrophic upheaval, tossing and turning with no end in sight. A harmonious union will be incredibly difficult," the Abbott stated objectively. "I advise you to separate. Your natures clash, and staying together will inevitably lead to disaster. The resentment between you is simply too deep to erase."
He paused for a moment before adding, "Of course, this is merely my interpretation. Matters of the heart are unpredictable. The final choice rests in your hands."
Helena listened in silence until he finished.
"I understand. Thank you," she nodded.
The Abbott didn't say anything else.
Other patrons were waiting for their turn.
Helena didn't linger in the room; she turned and walked out.
Sebastian was waiting outside. Seeing her emerge, he casually approached.
"All done?" he asked.
She offered a small hum of confirmation.
"Anything else you need to do here?" he inquired effortlessly.
"Just need to light some incense and burn a few offerings, and that should be it," she said after a moment's thought.
"Alright," Sebastian nodded.
He didn't even ask what she had discussed with the Abbott.
He just quietly accompanied her as she performed her rituals.
By the time they finished, it was past ten in the morning.
Sebastian led her to one of the back rooms to rest.
This particular space was reserved exclusively for the Everett family.
Though simple, it was the exact room Helena had stayed in years ago.
Alistair Everett had specifically mentioned it to him before they arrived.
So Sebastian knew exactly where to go.
"Is this where you used to stay?" he asked.
"For about six months, I came here every month. It was quiet, and it helped me find some peace," she admitted without hiding the truth.
Sebastian listened intently. When she finished, the guilt crept into his voice again. "I'm sorry, Helena."
She fell silent for a moment before looking at him. "Sebastian, I really don't need your apologies."
