Chapter 12
The next day, I was abducted straight out of my own home.
A hand clamped over my mouth.
When I woke up, I wasn’t surprised to see Sienna sitting across from me.
She stared at me in the dim light, smiling to herself.
I looked at her and said, “Why did you kidnap me?”
Seenna lunged at me with a knife, and blood gushed out in a spray.
Warm drops splashed across her face, and instead of flinching, she smiled wider. “This is what you get for standing in my way.”
“I worked so hard to seduce Adrian. I was so close to getting everything. ‘Then you got pregnant. Why?”
After being cast ashore on a deserted island for six months, she had gone mad. Now that she had escaped back, all she wanted was to take revenge on everyone.
She turned the dagger and rolled it over my leg wound.
I reminded her, “Murder is still a Kill me, and you’re done too.”

She gave me a look full of contempt. “You think everyone is as stupid as you? Since I dared to bring you here today, I must have devised a foolproof plan.”
She poured the oil over me slowly, then knocked out the candle.
“You accidentally knocked over the candle here and got burned to death. And I never came here today-I was at home the whole time. How perfect!”
“Almost.”
I slipped the ropes from my wrists and pointed to the tiny camera hidden near my ear.
“The police have been watching your crimes live.”
Her expression changed instantly.
She spun to run.
I lunged, caught her, and slammed her down.
“Oh, and one more thing,” I said, pinning her there. “You seem to have forgotten I’m a Winslow. I didn’t survive
in this city by being helpless.”
I was dragging her toward the door when it flew open.
