Finn’s POV
I woke to the silence of an empty villa. No footsteps, no distant humming, no signs of Hannah anywhere. The house felt hollow without
her presence, though the lingering scent of her perfume suggested she hadn’t been gone long. I stretched, feeling my muscles relax in a
way they rarely did. The digital clock on the nightstand read 7:30 AM.
In the kitchen, I found a breakfast sandwich warming in the oven and a note propped against a coffee mug: “Meeting at Sterling
Entertainment, 9:00 AM. Everything’s ready. – H”
The living room had been transformed into something resembling a high–end boutique. Three suits were laid out on the sofa, each one complete with matching accessories. The first was a charcoal gray three–piece with a burgundy tie and silver cufflinks. The second, navy blue with subtle pinstripes and a pale blue tie. The third, a more casual black suit with a slate gray shirt and no vest.
As I stood there, my mind drifted to Hannah preparing all this. I could almost see her: bent over the suits, hair falling forward as she arranged each piece, that look of intense concentration on her face that appeared whenever she tackled a new project. The thought made
something in my chest tighten.
I chose the last one, appreciating its simplicity. I slipped on the pants and shirt, fastened the platinum watch Hannah had placed with it, then paused at the black silk tie. I turned it over in my hands, a frown creasing my forehead.
The Sterling Entertainment offices were buzzing with nervous energy when I arrived. An employee spotted me and opened her mouth to announce my presence, but I silenced her with a finger to my lips. The woman nodded quickly and ducked her head, returning to her
desk.
I walked silently toward the executive office, pausing at the doorway. Hannah stood with her back to me, running a small electronic device along the bookshelf. Her hair was pulled back in a neat bun, and she wore a fitted dress that accentuated every curve. She moved with precision, checking each corner methodically.
“So Sophia turned my office into a film studio?” I said, leaning against the doorframe.
Hannah spun around, the camera detector still in her hand. Her face lit up with genuine pleasure at seeing me, a reaction I found
strangely satisfying.
“Mr. Sterling,” she said, her voice professional but warm. “The office is prepared for you. I’ve organized all the quarterly reports on the desk, and I’ve started scheduling meetings with department heads for later today.”
She gestured to the sleek desk where folders were arranged in neat stacks. “I found several hidden cameras. I’ve arranged for security to remove them during our meeting with the executives.”
Hannah’s eyes moved from my face down to my neck, noticing the absence of a tie. “You didn’t like any of the ties I selected?”

Chapter 102
My jaw tightened slightly. “I don’t wear ties.”

“The board members will be expecting a certain level of formality, especially for your first official meeting,” Hannah said, her tone careful
but firm.
I kept my expression impassive. “I don’t wear ties because I can’t tie them.”
The admission hung in the air between us. Hannah’s expression softened, not with pity – which would have infuriated me but with
understanding.

“I thought that might be the case,” she said, reaching into her tote bag. She pulled out a black silk tie, nearly identical to the one I’d left
at home. “That’s why I brought a spare.”
I raised an eyebrow. “You brought a spare tie?”
“I brought spares of everything, Hannah replied with a small smile. “There’s an extra shirt in your size in the wardrobe, another suit jacket, and even backup shoes. Victoria mentioned you once threw your shoes at a board member.”
