Chapter 107
Hannah’s POV
I clutched Eliza’s beaded purse tightly against my chest as I hurried down the corridor. My heart pounded with each step, the weight of what this discovery meant growing heavier by the second. Someone had taken Eliza-right after I’d approached her about Sterling Entertainment.
Pulling out my phone, I called Alex, the security guard Victoria had assigned to watch over me at the party. He’d been maintaining a discreet presence near the entrance all evening.

A chill ran through me that had nothing to do with the night air.

trying to steady my breathing.
A sudden crash from inside made me jump. Through the window, I saw Alex had entered through the back door and already subdued one of the men, who lay sprawled on the floor. The second man spun around, reaching for his weapon, bat Alex moved with practiced precision. A quick series of strikes, and the second kidnapper joined his partner on the
ground.
Alex appeared at the cabin door, gesturing for me to come inside..
“It’s clear,” he said. “Help Ms. Morgan while I secure these two.”
I rushed to Eliza, who was trembling violently in the chair. Her eyes locked on mine, recognition and fear mingling in their
depths.
“It’s okay,” I said softly, gently removing the tape from her mouth. “I’m Hannah, from the party. We’re here to help you.”
She gasped as the tape came free, her breathing rapid and shallow.
“Deep breaths,’ I encouraged, using the same tone I used with frightened children at the special education center. “In through your nose, out through your mouth. That’s it.”
As I worked on the ropes binding her wrists, I kept talking in a calm, reassuring voice. “You’re safe now. My security team is on their way. These men can’t hurt you anymore.”
Alex efficiently bound the kidnappers with their own zip ties. “Perimeter is secure,” he reported. “But we should move quickly. There could be others.”
Eliza tried to stand but stumbled, her legs giving way beneath her. “I-I can’t…”
“They drugged my drink,” she whispered, her voice cracking.
I slipped my arm around her waist. “Lean on me.”
Alex checked outside before ushering us out of the cabin. “My team reports movement at the north end of the property. We need to find cover until they can reach our position.”
Supporting Eliza between us, we moved deeper into the woods, away from the cabin and the main property. About five hundred yards in, Alex found a small depression surrounded by thick bushes.
“Here,” he said. “Good cover, multiple escape routes.”
We helped Eliza sit with her back against a tree trunk. She hugged her knees to her chest, her entire body trembling. I shrugged off my light jacket and draped it over her shoulders.

She swallowed hard. “I was at the party… someone offered me a drink. Then everything went fuzzy.” Her voice shook. I tried to struggle and call for help, but they quickly covered my mouth with duct tape. Those men… they said someone

“Did they mention who sent them?” I asked gently, glancing at my phone screen. No signal bars-we were deep in the
