Heaven or Hell: Loving My Twisted Billionaire
Chapter 80
“Wait,” I said, placing my hand over his. “The doctor mentioned risks with pregnancy. Maybe we should-
“I’ll be gentle,” he interrupted, misunderstanding my concern. “You can control the pace.”
I opened my mouth to explain further, but a sudden wave of nausea hit me with unexpected force. I pushed past Finn and
barely made it to the small bathroom before emptying the contents of my stomach.
When I emerged, pale and shaky, Finn’s expression had darkened. He stood with his back to the window, arms crossed over
his chest.
“So that’s your game,” he said, his voice dangerously soft. “Build me up just to shut me down. Is that it?”
“No,” I said, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand. “It’s morning sickness. It has nothing to do with you.”
His face hardened as he crossed the room in two long strides. His hand found my throat, not squeezing but making his power clear. “You always have some excuse, don’t you? Always playing these little games.”
“It’s not a game,” I said, meeting his gaze without flinching. “I’m carrying your child. These things happen.”
For a moment, I thought he might not believe me. Then his hand dropped from my neck, and he turned away, heading for
the door.
“Finn, wait!” I called, moving quickly to catch him. I wrapped my arms around him from behind, pressing my cheek against his back. “I didn’t want you to see me like that. It’s embarrassing.”
I felt the tension in his muscles, the rigid set of his shoulders. He didn’t pull away, but he didn’t relax either.
“I even read articles about pregnancy symptoms,” I continued, reaching for my phone. “Look, it talks about morning sickness, fatigue, mood swings… even urinary incontinence. Trust me, that’s not something I want you to witness.”
He turned slowly in my arms, studying my face. “You’re serious.”
“Of course I am. You think I’d fake throwing up to avoid you?” I managed a weak smile. “Not exactly the sexiest move.”
The hardness in his expression eased slightly. “You should have said something.”
“I tried to,” I pointed out. “But you were… distracting me.”
He guided me to sit at the small table by the window, keeping a careful distance now. “You said you wanted to fight back,” he reminded me. “Against whoever tried to hurt you.”

Chapter 80
I nodded, gathering my strength. “I’m tired of being the victim. I’m tired of just enduring things. I want to fight back.”
And how exactly do you plan to do that? Hmm?” There was mockery in his voice, but also curiosity.
“I don’t want her physically harmed,” I clarified. “I want their consciences to hurt.”
Finn scoffed. “People like that don’t have consciences.”
“Everyone has a conscience,” I insisted. “Some just bury it deeper than others.”
I leaned forward, suddenly energized despite my lingering nausea. “Someone tried to have me killed, Finn. Not because of anything I did, but because of what I represent–a threat to the Sterling inheritance.”
His expression remained neutral, but I could tell he was listening intently.
“You need to fight for that position,” I continued. “Not just for yourself, but for our child. You’re the rightful heir by birth and Sterling tradition, but you need the board members‘ support to make it official. Without their backing, Richard or one of Sophia’s other children could take what’s rightfully yours–and eventually, our child’s.”
He studied me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then his eyes narrowed. “Victoria’s been talking to you,
hasn’t she?”
I didn’t answer, but my silence was confirmation enough.
“You think you can change things?” he asked, his voice dripping with contempt. “Did nearly drowning damage your brain?”
