Ethan was speechless. He felt Nina was still the same as when she was little, a bit clueless.

Now Ethan was sure she wasn’t joking. He asked hesitantly, “Are you sure you want my crappy car? It’s only worth 60 thousand dollars.”

Nina glanced at the car parked by the gate. It was the only cheap vehicle in the entire Swanson family. “It’s pretty junky, but it’ll do. I’m only using it once. I’ll have someone send over another one of these tomorrow.”

Ethan could hardly believe his ears. Only now did he realize Nin actually owned two bikes like this.

He couldn’t even dream of owning a motorcycle like that, yet she had two. And from the way she talked, getting another one was no different from buying groceries.

Ethan wondered if Nina had really been raised by a nightclub hostess. ‘Do nightclub hostesses earn that much?’

Ethan grabbed Vivian’s wrist and threw it back. “Didn’t you make enough of a scene at the party? Try laying a hand on Nina again.”

Vivian had held in her rage all day, and now Ethan dared to talk to her like that. Her anger spiked immediately. She slapped

him hard across the face.

“You don’t get to speak here,” she yelled. “You’re just like Nina, both of you worthless losers. If I’d known this, I should’ve strangled you to death the moment you were born so you wouldn’t go against me every chance you get.”

Nina narrowed her eyes and tilted her head slightly, the look she gave Vivian filled with fury. But before she could act, Ethan grabbed her arm and shook his head.

He bit down on his lip and let out a cold laugh. “You really should’ve done that.”

Vivian frowned. “What?”

Ethan sneered. “If you had, you would’ve spent the rest of your fe in prison, and Nina wouldn’t have been abandoned by you.”

Ethan let out a mocking laugh. “What goes around comes aroun. Don’t think no one knows what you’ve done. You’re a professor. Did it never cross your mind that the lies you made u didn’t make any sense?”

“Shut up,” Vivian snapped. “I don’t want to talk about this right now.”

“You just like to argue.’ Ethan didn’t want to waste more words on her. “I won’t hold it against you for slapping me earlier. But I’m warning you, don’t touch Nina again. Otherwise, if I accidentally let your little secret slip, things might get ugly.”
