As soon as Elaine finished speaking, a group of bodyguards in black stormed in from outside the Swanson residence.

They acted with lightning speed. The Lowell family didn’t even get a chance to react before the bodyguards had them all pinned to the floor.

Stella’s expression changed dramatically as she roared, “Who the hell are you? How dare you lay a hand on us? You’ve got some nerve!”

Elaine didn’t even spare Stella a glance. She lifted her eyes to Max, who’d been quietly standing off to the side. “Who started the fight here at the Swanson place?”

Max pointed at the man next to Vivian, his tone flat. “Sebastian Lowell.”

Sebastian was one of Vivian’s brothers.

As soon as the Lowell family stepped into the Swanson residence, Sebastian started throwing punches and wrecking stuff.

Sarah just let it slide because they’re family by marriage.

Before Nina left, she told Max to keep things under control at the Swanson place, but since Sarah was the elder, he still had to defer to her wishes.

But Sebastian didn’t make too much of a scene. He just broke a few vases and smashed the coffee table, then called it quits.

If Sebastian had kept stirring up trouble, Max would’ve made him pay, no matter what Sarah thought.

After that, the Lowell family sat down with Sarah to talk things out.

They’d been talking forever, but still hadn’t reached any agreement.

Honestly, Max felt stifled. ‘Why bother arguing with these shameless types?’ he thought.

As soon as she finished speaking, Max stomped down on Sebastian’s other arm.

Sebastian screamed again, “You son of a bitch, I’ll kill you!”

Stella rushed over to help Sebastian, her face dark with fury as she confronted Sarah. “Are you really going to tear things apart? Are you really going to ruin James’s reputation too? He’s your own son. Are you really going to send him to prison?”

Stella’s relentless questions left Sarah speechless.

She couldn’t take that risk.

She couldn’t gamble with the rest of James’s life.

Sarah hesitated for a moment, then turned to Elaine. “Elaine, maybe we should just drop it. James can’t go to prison.”

Elaine took Sarah’s hand and reassured her, “Sarah, you don’t have to worry…”

This guy was even scarier than Elaine.

Felix led the crew himself, and they didn’t give the Lowell family a chance to say a word. The moment they set foot in the Swanson residence, they beat the crap out of everyone except Stella.
