Sarah rubbed her temples, then got up and walked over to Ryan. “Ryan, what are you doing…”

Before Sarah could finish, Elaine lunged at Ryan, throwing a punch at him.

But Ryan caught her fist with effortless ease.

Elaine swung with her other hand, but Ryan caught that one too.

Elaine lashed out with a kick.

Ryan dodged with ease, watching Elaine going wild and grinning. “Careful. You might throw your back out.”

Elaine was fuming. She spat, “Ugh, have you no shame? It’s not like Nina asked you to come here. Who told you to stick your

nose in?”

She could handle something this trivial in a heartbeat.

But Ryan just had to show up and steal the spotlight.

Nina had finally asked her for a favor, and Elaine was over the moon about it.

But she didn’t expect that Ryan would come.

Stella glared at Sarah, her face pale as she looked at the Lowell family, who were so beaten up they could barely move. Hatred burned in her eyes. “I won’t let this go. I swear, the Swanson family will pay a heavy price for this.”

Sarah looked at the Lowell family lying all over the place and let out a heavy sigh. “Ryan…”

“Nina’s not here, so I’ll protect her family.” Ryan didn’t let her get a word in. “Sarah, Nina’s always had her own way of looking out for you. Don’t let her down, okay?”

Sarah just bowed her head, saying nothing.

He was right.

Maybe she couldn’t keep up with Nina, but at least she shouldn’t drag her down.

Sarah stayed quiet for a few seconds before finally looking up. “Handle it from here. If Nina called you guys in, she must trust you. It’s late. I’m heading upstairs to get some rest.”

It was already two in the morning.

She was dead tired.

After Sarah headed upstairs, Ryan didn’t waste a second. He ordered his men to haul the Lowell family off to Riverdale Hospital.

Vivian dug in her heels, yelling, “Ryan, aren’t you into Nina? I’m her mother! Aren’t you scared she’ll hate you for treating me like this?”

Ryan barely glanced at her, his voice icy. “Nina’s never once admitted you’re her mom. If she ever does, I’ll beg you for forgiveness. Until then, don’t flatter yourself.”

Then Ryan turned to Max, shooting him a look. “Why are you just standing there? Did I leave you here to watch the show?”

Max’s face darkened, and he quickly signaled his crew to drag the Lowell family out.
