Nina went to the airport. She had just reached the arrivals area when a girl came flying toward her like a gust of wind. “Nina, I missed you so much!”

Her voice immediately drew a bunch of curious looks.

Suddenly, someone let out a sharp gasp. “Lanelle?”

“Oh my God, it is Lanelle. She’s even prettier in person.”

“I need a picture. I have to record this moment.”

“A picture? Getting her autograph is way more important.”

Within seconds, people in the airport went wild and started chasing after Lanelle.

Meanwhile, Lanelle was being held in place by Nina, who had her hand on her head. Lanelle tried to throw her arms around Nina but couldn’t, and her face twisted into pure frustration.

After several failed attempts to hug her, Lanelle stomped her foot. “Nina, you’re so heartless. We haven’t seen each other in ages, and you won’t even let me hug you?”

“You put on perfume,” Nina said helplessly.

Lanelle huffed. “I only used a tiny bit. I had an event, so I had no choice. As soon as it ended, I rushed here to see you. And you’re seriously being this heartless?”

Nina shook her head. “No hugging.”

“You’re so petty,” Lanelle muttered, though she didn’t force it.

Nina had a strange habit. She hated touching anyone who wore perfume, the way someone with OCD might avoid anything dirty.

She didn’t mind being near people who wore fragrance, but hugging them was out of the question. If her clothes picked up a scent, she would throw the entire outfit away on the spot.

Nina reached for Lanelle’s suitcase and gave her a quick look, signaling her to look behind them.

Lanelle turned around and saw a crowd of people staring at the wide-eyed, mouths hanging open, completely stunned.

Lanelle panicked instantly. She did not want anyone seeing her ke this. She grabbed Nina and rushed out of the airport.

It wasn’t until they completely disappeared that Lanelle’s fans spped out of it.

“What did I just see? Did Lanelle just smile? And act cute? At a gi? Am I hallucinating?”

“You’re not. I saw it too. Was that really Lanelle? Or someone wh just looks like her?”

“No need to panic, it was her. Yes, we saw a side of Lanelle no one knew existed.”

Lanelle was famous for being a cold beauty. She also had a strange temper. Anyone who crossed her would get cursed out right then and there.

Getting yelled at was nothing. The real danger was that she woul throw punches without blinking.

“Nina, when did your taste get this bad? Driving such a beat-up car?” Lanelle complained from the passenger seat, looking around with obvious disdain.

Nina shot her a sidelong glance. “This is my brother’s car. It’s probably the most valuable thing he owns.”

Lanelle raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Your brother is that poor? Should I give him some money?”

“Excuse me? You think I don’t have money?” Nina rolled her eyes

Lanelle shrugged. “Then why don’t you give it to him? You’re so rich. You can’t just let your brother struggle.”

“I’ll do it later,” Nina said. “If I give it to him now, he probably wouldn’t even take it.”

If Ethan could hear her now, he would be shocked, and he’d probably insist on taking her money in a heartbeat.
