Seeing this, Stella assumed Nina was finally taking her words to heart and was about to continue, but Nina suddenly switched gears. “What video?” she asked, her tone calm and direct.

“The video where your dad confesses to what he did to your mom…” Stella said, pulling out her phone to look for it. She knew the Swansons wouldn’t believe anything without seeing the proof for themselves.

But after searching all over her phone, she couldn’t find the vide anywhere. She froze, blurting out in panic, “It’s gone? How could it be gone?”

Stella suddenly let out a shocked gasp, her eyes wide as she stabbed frantically at her phone screen.

The Swansons all looked at each other, baffled. ‘Has she lost her mind?’ they wondered.

Vivian hurried over. “Mom, what’s wrong?”

“The video’s gone!” Stella blurted out, panic written all over her face. “I swear I saved it on my phone!”

“Relax, I’ve got it saved,” Vivian said, pulling out her phone.

But when she unlocked it, her face went blank. “Wait, what? It’s gone from my phone, too!”

Vivian quickly turned to Lily. “Lily, check your phone. See if the video’s still there.”

Just in case, Vivian had made sure to send Lily a copy of the video earlier.

Lily checked her phone, and her face went white. “I-It’s gone from my phone, too.”

“What the hell is going on? How could it just disappear like that? Vivian cried out, her voice trembling.

Vivian suddenly turned to Nina, her eyes glued to Nina’s laptop.

She lunged at it like a madwoman, snatching the laptop away from Nina.

But when she looked at the screen, it was completely blank.

Not a single file in sight.

Nina leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, a half-smirk on her face as she watched the Lowell family’s expressions shift. “So, where’s the video now?”

Vivian gaped at Nina, her voice trembling with outrage. “It’s you It has to be you, right?!”

It took Stella a moment to process, her eyes reddening as she glared at Nina with murder in her eyes.
