Everyone stared at her like she’d lost her mind. No one expected Nina to boldly claim she was the president of SN Corporation. Some of them even started to wonder if she actually knew what kind of company SN Corporation really was.

SN Corporation was one of the world’s top conglomerates, completely out of reach for ordinary people.

Not just the Swanson family, even the elite Foster family in Betrico couldn’t hope to touch SN Corporation.

After a long silence, Vivian was the first to snap back. She was fumous. “Nina, what on earth are you thinking? How dare you say you’re the president of SN Corporation? Aren’t you afraid they’ll send a lawyer after you?”

Lily chuckled lightly. “Nina, I know you just got back and you’re ager to prove yourself to the family, but there’s no need to invent such a ridiculous lie.

“Lots of people never get a chance to meet the president of SN Corporation. Dad has tried countless times, and the answer has always been no.”

She shot a glance at Nina, her eyes full of sarcasm. “If you want to learn about business, I can teach you. But stop saying things like that. If someone with bad intentions hears it, the president really could hold us responsible.”

Nina crossed her arms, smiling faintly as she glanced at Lily, then looked at James. “Dad, you wanted to see me? Well, I’m right here. What is it? If it’s not too unreasonable, I might just agree, seeing as I’m your daughter.”

James, Vivian, and Lily all went silent, thinking she must be addicted to performing. They had all told her to stop exaggerating, yet she kept going.

Even Sarah and Ethan, who usually adored Nina, were left wide-eyed, speechless.

The room fell into an awkward stillness.

After a long pause, Sarah cleared her throat and spoke carefully. Nina, I know you want to do something for our family. I’m already very happy that you came back and are here with me. Just…don’t say things like that again.”

She wasn’t scolding Nina; she just didn’t want anyone with ill intentions in the family to use Nina’s words against her. If anyone spread this around, the president of SN Corporation could really come after her.

Ethan finally regained his composure. He tugged lightly on Nina’s sleeve and whispered, “Nina, I know Ryan loves you and would give you anything you want. But even Ryan can’t control N Corporation’s decisions. Be careful what you say.”

Nina said seriously, “I’m telling the truth.”

Ethan didn’t know what to say. He just wanted her to stop talking before the real president of SN Corporation heard it and embarrassed her.

He did want to protect Nina, but he was no match for the president of SN Corporation.

“Enough!” James shot a glance at Nina. “I don’t care who you wer before. Now that you’re a Swanson, you need to watch your words and behavior. Don’t tell such lies anymore.”

Lily glanced at Nina and smirked.

James had never cared about any of his kids. No matter what they said or did, he would usually just ignore it. His eyes only lit up for anything that could bring him a benefit.

That made Lily feel pretty pleased. She turned to James with a termined tone. “Dad, don’t worry. I’m confident about this proposal. I’ll go to SN Corporation tomorrow and try to get a meeting with the president.”

James gave her a sideways glance, his face still icy. “Anyone can talk big. I want results.”

Lily’s expression stiffened. “Okay, I’ll make sure it succeeds.”

Sarah glanced at Lily, clearly displeased.

She had never liked Lily much. Lily wore her ambition and calculation on her face. If Lily really managed to secure SN Corporation’s project, Sarah would have a hard time keeping he in check.
