Sensing her grandmother’s displeasure, Lily quickly said, “Grandna, I know you care about Nina, but this isn’t a joke. This is about the company’s future. We can’t afford to let anyone make mistakes. Let her try on a smaller project next time.
Sarah remained expressionless and didn’t reply.
Lily turned to James with a smile. “Dad, I just graduated high school, but Mom has had teachers giving me business courses since I was little. I can try this proposal.”
Ethan scoffed. “Nina can’t afford to make mistakes, but you can? Lily, don’t you think you’re being a little arrogant?”
Lily looked a bit hurt. “Ethan, I’m not looking down on Nina, and I don’t intend to make a mistake. I just watched Martin while he worked on the plan, and I think I have a chance.
“Besides, I’ve learned more business knowledge than Nina. This is a 300-million-dollar project. We can’t just let Nina play around with it, can we?”
Ethan was about to retort when Lily continued, “I don’t know what I’ve done to make you dislike me all this time, but you have to believe my intentions are always for the good of our whole family.”
She looked like she was about to cry, and Vivian immediately fell her heart ache. She barked angrily, “Ethan, have you had enough of this? Nina could never compete with Lily. Don’t think just because you’re my son you can bully Lily.”
“I…” Ethan was about to retort when Sarah suddenly slammed her hand on the table.
“Enough!” she bellowed.
The entire villa fell silent.
Sarah shot everyone present a displeased glance and said coldly. Since this project is crucial to the Swanson family, it shouldn’t fall on just one person.
“All my grandchildren, whether capable or not, must contribute proposal. The Swanson family’s honor and reputation belong to all of us, not just one person. Do you understand?”
“Yes,” the other grandchildren replied happily.
They weren’t as accomplished as James’s children. Good opportunities had always favored James’s family. Now, everyone getting to contribute a proposal meant they were finally being noticed.
Only Lily kept her head down, fists clenched. She knew very well that Sarah didn’t want her to hog all the credit.
If she submitted a proposal alone, she might have landed the project and claimed all the honor for herself. But now, everyone contributing, the credit would belong to all of them, no matter whose plan was chosen.

Lily silently complained that Sarah was being unfair.
“Nina,” Sarah said, holding Nina’s hand with a gentle smile. “It’s okay if you don’t understand much about business. Just watch and learn from everyone. I just want you to have something to do.”
Sarah’s attitude toward Nina made her other grandchildren green with envy, but no one dared to speak up.
Nina paused for a moment before asking, “Grandma, you want ar family to get this project, right?”
“Of course,” Sarah said. “300 million isn’t a small sum. Even though our family is wealthy, we still need better projects to strengthen our position.

“But don’t feel pressured. Just treat this as a learning opportunity It’s okay if you can’t submit a proposal. Just watch and learn. Soon I’ll arrange a job for you at the company. As long as n around, you have a home.”
Nina felt a warmth in her chest and smiled. “Then this project belongs to the Swanson family.”
“What?” Sarah blinked in surprise.
“I’m giving this 300-million-dollar project to our family,” Nina sid. “Grandma, whatever you want, I’ll give it to you.”
“Nina, what are you talking about?” Vivian was utterly stunned. “SN Corporation is one of the top international conglomerates. You think this project is yours to hand out? Who do you think you are, the president of SN Corporation?”
Nina leaned back in her chair, her voice lazily calm. “Exactly. I am the president of SN Corporation.”
