Chapter 312
And there was no way they could hide the fact that Nina had come to Linda’s place tonight.

‘It’s all over, Linda thought, despair washing over her. ‘Everything’s over. Will Luna never be going to be able to live a peaceful life?’
Nina’s face instantly darkened. “What did you just say?”
Luna handed the folder to Nina. “Lily left this with me. When I was talking to my mom about her today, it suddenly occurred to me that Lily still had something here.
“I think the name on it is her real father’s. She really values this folder, like it’s her only connection to him.”
Luna also told Nina about the man and woman she and Lily met in Betrico two years ago.
Nina stared at the name on the folder, Lawrence Nicholson. “The last name was Nicholson, so this really was Lily’s father,’ she thought.
She’d been searching for ages and hadn’t even found a single name, and now the most crucial clue was sitting right here with Luna.
Nina scanned the villa. Except for Michael, who was out of town on business, everyone was here, including the staff and bodyguard.
Nina took out her phone and dialed Simon. “Get Falconer to bring a squad over.”
Simon, who was outside, was taken aback. ‘Wasn’t she just going in to see someone?’ Simon wondered. ‘Why does she suddenly need backup? And she wants Falconer to handpick the people herself.
When something minor happened, Nina would usually have Simon bring a few people. But if she called for Falconer to assemble a team, that meant it was a really big deal.
Everyone Falconer picked was rigorously trained. Most of them had even been personally trained by Nina herself. Any one of them could take on a hundred people and come out on top.
Simon didn’t dare waste a second and immediately called Falconer.
Falconer had already made it back to Riverdale from Frontierland. When Simon’s call came in, she was busy putting a new batch of fresh faces through their paces.
As soon as she received the order, she rounded up a squad and headed straight over.
Falconer was driving a supercar. With hardly anyone on the streets of Riverdale at that hour, Falconer tore through the city and reached the Swanson residence in just fifteen minutes.
“Nina,” Falconer called out as she strode straight up to Nina.
Nina was seated on the couch, legs crossed, her slender fingers pressed to her temples. “Detain all the staff and bodyguards here, and swap them out for a fresh team.”

She wasn’t a fan of staying up late. Whenever she did, her head would always start to ache, and it was almost four in the morning.
“Yes,” Falconer replied and lifted her hand, directing her squad to detain the villa’s staff and bodyguards.
Everyone was stunned by the sudden chaos. One of the staff members cried out, “Mrs. Swanson, what’s happening? Why are we being detained? We didn’t do anything wrong!”
The moment Linda saw Nina’s crew show up, she instantly remembered how Nina handled things back when Sarah got poisoned.
Her face went deathly pale as she stared at Nina. “What are you trying to do? You’ve already messed up Luna’s life. Are you really going to drag all of us into this, too?”
Luna was just as confused as everyone else. She whispered, “Nina, what are you doing?”
Nina reassured her, “Don’t worry, I’m just sending them somewhere else for now.”
Then, turning to the bodyguards and staff, Nina announced, “From today, you’ll be working at a different location. Your salary will be doubled, and once everything’s settled, you’re welcome to come back if you want.”
“So, how long are we supposed to work there?” one of the maids asked.
Nina smiled. “Might be a long time. Just wait it out.”
The staff and bodyguards just stared in silence.
‘That sounds like forever,’ they all thought.
