Chapter 389
Across from Nina, Martin gripped the steering wheel tightly, and his foot slammed down on the gas.
His eyes were fixed on Nina as Martin sneered, “Nina, I don’t buy it. You really think you can trade your life for mine?”
With that thought, Martin fired up his car and rammed it straight toward Nina.
But Nina wasn’t about to back down. She gunned her engine and charged right at Martin.
As the car and motorcycle hurtled closer, Martin swallowed hard
Nina shot a glance at Elaine and said, “Jump.”
As soon as Nina finished speaking, Elaine leaped out of the motorcycle.
At the very moment their vehicles collided, Nina sprang into action, vaulting onto Martin’s car and then leaping into the passenger seat in a flash.
Martin’s face went pale. Before he could even react, Nina jabbed a needle into him, and he instantly lost consciousness.
Nina swung herself into the driver’s seat and stomped on the brakes.
The car screeched to a halt, stopping just inches from the people ahead.
The crowd instantly erupted into chaos.
The Enforcement Squad rushed over from behind and took Martin down in no time.
After locking down the scene, the Enforcement Squad talked things over with Nina for a moment before leaving.
Once the Enforcement Squad had hauled Martin away, Elaine walked over to Nina.
Elaine glanced at the wrecked motorcycle and clicked her tongue. “What a shame about your bike. You’ve had it for five years. You must be pretty attached to it.”
Nina just gave the bike a casual look. “Just have Black Wolf get me another one.”
By the time Nina and Elaine made it back to the Swanson residence, it was already morning.
Everyone was already home.
As soon as Nina walked in, the Swansons hurried over to her.
“Nina, what on earth happened?” Linda blurted out the moment she saw Nina. “Last night, Max rushed me to the hospital in the middle of the night, and then they made me go through all these tests.
“As soon as I got home, I heard Martin had been arrested. What’s going on?”
Linda was totally clueless. She was already asleep last night. Them, suddenly, Max barged in with a bunch of people and dragged everyone off to the hospital.
Linda was totally out of it when she went in, and just as lost when she came out. And then she heard Martin got caught.
The rest of the Swansons jumped in, too. “Yeah, what the heck happened?”
Nina glanced at everyone and said, “Sit down. I’ve got something to tell you all.”

Nina didn’t beat around the bush. “First off, Martin is the ringleader behind the surrogacy operation and is also suspected o organ trafficking. The Enforcement Squad has already arrested him.
“Matthew is an accomplice, and the Enforcement Squad is still after him.”
Nina handled Martin. As for Matthew, she left that for Ryan to deal with.
Nina continued, “Second, Waverly is suspected of stealing secrets from the Chase family and embezzling nearly 3 billion for gambling. She’s also an accomplice in the surrogacy and organ trafficking cases, and she’s already been arrested.
“Third, Matthew tried to poison the Swansons. Max got his hands on the poison before it was used, but we’re not sure if anything slipped through the cracks.
“He sent you all to the hospital to keep you safe and buy me time to catch Martin.”
She added, “Fourth, here’s the paternity test for Martin and Matthew. They’re actually Mrs. Swanson’s children with someone else. The Swanson family will be making an official announcement about this soon.”
With that, Nina dropped the paternity test results onto the table
After Nina finished, the room fell into a strange, heavy silence.
After what felt like ages, Linda finally managed to speak, her voice shaking. “Martin was the one running the surrogacy operation?
“Oh my god! We’ve been living under the same roof as someone so twisted, and we had no clue at all.”
When Nina revealed Martin was the ringleader, Linda felt a wave of fear wash over her.
After all, Martin’s surrogacy ring was preying on young girls. These college freshmen had bright futures ahead of them, only to have their lives destroyed.
